G20 education sector meeting at Amritsar
- A meeting on the education sector in which 20 countries are participating began on Wednesday in Amritsar, Punjab. G20 countries participating in the education related meeting started in Amritsar, Punjab on Wednesday.
- Members of the G20 Education Working Group participate in this meeting, where future work and innovations are discussed over 3 days. Organized various seminars. A seminar titled 'Strengthening Research through Strong Collaboration, Improving Books' was held on Wednesday. Bridging the gap between government-academic institutions and industry to find solutions to international challenges was discussed in this meeting.
- Central Education Department Secretary K. Sanjay Moothy, Indian Institute of Science Director Govind Rangarajan, IIT ROBA Director Rajeev Ahuja and others participated in this meeting.
- Union Minister Shri Narendra Singh Tomar today participated in the inaugural function of the 5-day cultural event “Agriunifest” organized by Bangalore Agricultural University in collaboration with Indian Council of Agricultural Research. More than 2500 students from 60 State Agricultural Universities / Associate Universities / Central Universities participated in this function. They will showcase their skills in 18 events. Events are held in 5 categories namely music, dance, literature, drama and fine arts.
- Union Minister of State for Agriculture and Farmers' Welfare Mrs. Shoba Karandlaje, Karnataka Agriculture Minister Mr. B.C. Patil, ICAR Deputy Director General (Education) Dr. RC Aggarwal, Vice Chancellor Dr. Suresha and others participated in this event.
- The Central Department of Land Reforms will host the 4th Bhumi Samwad National Conference on Digitization and Georeferencing of India in New Delhi on 17th to introduce unique land identification number called Bhumi Aadhaar. Union Minister for Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Mr. Giriraj Singh will be the Chief Guest.
- In this, Union Minister of State for Rural Development and Steel Mr. Fakhan Singh Kulaste, Union Minister of State for Consumer Affairs, Food, Public Distribution and Rural Development Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti, Union Minister of State for Panchayat Raj Department Mr. Kapil Moreswar Patil and others were present.
- The conference will have 3 sessions on the topics of land documents data democratization and Madribhoomi, using Bhumi Aadhaar for easy business understanding and easy living, adoption of national and global best practices in land surveying, re-scaling, Bhumi Aadhaar usage etc.
