• யுனெஸ்கோ'வின் 2023ம் ஆண்டிற்கான சர்வதேச தாய்மொழி விருது / UNESCO International Mother Language Award 2023: யுனெஸ்கோ எனப்படும் ஐக்கிய நாடுகள் சபையின் கல்வி, அறிவியல் மற்றும் கலாசார அமைப்பு, ஆண்டுதோறும் சர்வதேச தாய்மொழி விருதை வழங்கி வருகிறது.
• தாய்மொழியை மக்களிடையே ஊக்குவிக்கும் நபரை கவுரவிக்கும் விதமாக வழங்கப்படும் இந்த விருதுக்கு, ஒடிசாவைச் சேர்ந்த மகேந்திர குமார் மிஸ்ரா தேர்ந்தெடுக்கப்பட்டுள்ளார்.
• மொழியியல் அறிஞரான இவர் இம்மாநிலத்தின் சிறந்த நாட்டுப்புறக் கலைஞராவார்.
• ஒவ்வொரு ஆண்டும் பிப்., 21--ம் தேதியை சர்வதேச தாய்மொழி தினமாக ஐ.நா., சபை கடைப்பிடித்து வரும் நிலையில், அன்றைய தினம், வங்கதேசத்தில் இந்த விருது வழங்கும் விழா நடைபெற உள்ளது.
• இதில், அந்நாட்டு பிரதமர் ஷேக் ஹசீனா பங்கேற்று, மகேந்திர குமார் மிஸ்ராவுக்கு விருது வழங்கி கவுரவிக்க உள்ளார்.

• UNESCO International Mother Language Award 2023: The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization known as UNESCO annually presents the International Mother Language Award.
• Mahendra Kumar Mishra from Odisha has been selected for this award to honor a person who promotes mother tongue among people.
• A linguist, he is the best folk artist of the state.
• Every year on Feb. 21, International Mother Language Day is observed by the United Nations, and on that day, the awarding ceremony is going to be held in Bangladesh. 
• In this, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will participate and honor Mahendra Kumar Mishra by giving an award.
