New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Resigns

  • Jacinda Orton has been the Prime Minister of New Zealand, an island nation in the southwest Pacific Ocean, since 2017.
  • The way he dealt with many major issues such as the massive attack on the mosque there in 2021, the prevention of the spread of the Corona virus, received great appreciation from the world. In this case, he announced that he would resign from his post.
International Spice Conference 2023
  • The 6th International Spices Conference on behalf of All India Spice Exporters Forum (AISEF) started in Guindy on Thursday. Sanjeev Bist, President, All India Fragrance Exporters Forum, presided over the event.
  • He said that 225 types of Indian spices are exported to 180 countries around the world. Various topics are discussed in the conference.
  • Cochin Industry Chamber of Commerce Vice President Anand Venkataraman, International Spice Conference President Cherian Xavier and others participated in the event.
Small Grains Annual 'Logo' Issue
  • Accepting the request of Prime Minister Modi, the UN Council has declared the current year as the International Year of Small Grains. India is the 5th largest producer of small grains in the world.
  • In order to improve the production, this year, the central government has started the work to promote the cultivation of small grains in 212 districts in 14 states including Tamil Nadu.
  • The central government has released the logo to create awareness among the farmers and the public regarding the Small Grain Year. In this, there are maps of rye, corn, sorghum etc.
  • Under it, the words International Year of Small Grains are placed in English. This has been translated into Tamil and published by the Department of Agriculture.

  • Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched groundbreaking work in Mumbai for projects worth Rs 38,800 crore. A seamless urban transport environment is one of the Prime Minister's flagship projects.
