- ஒவ்வொரு நாட்டின் பாஸ்போட்டும் அதன் மக்களுக்கு எத்தனை நாடுகளுக்கான விசா இல்லாத அணுகல்களையும், இலகுவான பிராசஸிங் வலிகளையும் தருகிறது என கணக்கிடப்படுகிறது.
- பாஸ்போர்ட்டின் நுணுக்கமான, நடைமுறை மற்றும் நம்பகதன்மையை கருத்தில் கொள்கிறது. ஒவ்வொரு பாஸ்போர்ட்டையும் வைத்திருப்பவர் விசா இல்லாமல் அணுகக்கூடிய மொத்த இடங்களின் எண்ணிக்கையில் மதிப்பெண் பெறப்படுகிறது.

- பாஸ்போர்ட் குறியீட்டில் சென்ற ஆண்டு 87 வது இடத்தில் இருந்த இந்தியா இரண்டு இடங்கள் முன்னேறி 85வது இடத்தில் உள்ளது. நம் நாடு பாஸ்போர்ட் வைத்து 59 நாடுகளுக்கு விசா இல்லாமல் செல்லலாம்.
- உலகம் முழுவதும் உள்ள 227 பயண இடங்களுக்கான அணுகலுக்கு எதிராக அளவிடப்படுகின்றன. ஹென்லி பாஸ்போர்ட் பவர் மதிப்பெண்களின்படி, உலகப் பொருளாதாரத்தில் 70 சதவீதத்திற்கும் அதிகமான நாடுகளுக்கான அணுகலை உலக நாடுகளில் 6 சதவீதம் மட்டுமே வழங்குகிறது.

- London-based global citizenship and residency consultancy Henley & Partners has released the Henley Passport Index for 2023 based on exclusive data provided by the International Air Transport Association (IATA).
- Each country's passport is calculated to give its citizens visa-free access to as many countries as possible and ease processing pains.
- Considers the nuance, practicality and reliability of the passport. Each passport holder is scored on the total number of destinations that can be accessed without a visa.
- 199 countries are listed with these scores. In it, Japan has taken the top spot for the fifth year in a row. This means that Japanese passport holders can visit 193 countries without a visa
- India has moved up two places to rank 85th in the passport index, which was ranked 87th last year. Our country can visit 59 countries without visa with passport.
- Measured against access to 227 travel destinations around the world. According to the Henley Passport Power Scores, only 6 percent of the world's countries provide access to more than 70 percent of the global economy.
- Singapore and South Korea passports, in second place, offer visa-free access to 192 countries. Afghanistan ranks 109th on the index, with unrest sweeping the country. Only 27 countries allow visa-free access to Afghan passport holders.
