High-level committee chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi
- A video conference was held yesterday under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the country's corona situation, health infrastructure, health preparedness, vaccination program and new corona viruses.
- The Secretary of Health Department and senior officials of Niti Aayog briefed the meeting through video about the rapid spread of Corona Virus in various countries.
- Officials pointed out that the number of daily corona infections in the world is 5.9 lakh and the daily infection in India is 153.
- Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya, Civil Aviation Minister Jyothir Aditya Scindia, External Affairs Minister Jaishankar, Information and Broadcasting Minister Anurag Thakur, Health Minister Bharati Praveen Pawar, Principal Secretary to Prime Minister P.K. Mishra, Niti Aayog CEO Parameswaran, Niti Aayog member VK Paul and others attended the meeting.
- Following the instructions of the Prime Minister, various state governments have taken precautionary measures. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has asked everyone to wear masks in Uttar Pradesh.
- Wearing face mask is mandatory in Karnataka. The governments of Uttarakhand and Haryana have intensified the booster vaccination.
- High-level consultation meetings were held yesterday on behalf of Andhra, Odisha, Punjab and Delhi state governments. Important decisions were taken to prevent the spread of the Corona virus.
- The government of Tamil Nadu has requested to include the people of the Narikukaravar and Kuruvicharkan communities in the Schedule of Scheduled Tribes (ST).
- Accordingly, the Union Tribal Affairs Minister Arjun Munda tabled and passed the Constitutional (SD) Bill (2nd Amendment), 2022 in the Lok Sabha on the 15th. Subsequently, this bill was passed by voice vote in the Rajya Sabha yesterday.
- To improve the mental welfare of students, Chief Minister Stalin launched the 'Manam' scheme in government medical colleges in the first phase.

The Chief Minister inaugurated 108 emergency vehicles with 75 new improved, modern medical equipments at a cost of 22.84 crore rupees at Kilpakkam Government Mental Asylum, Chennai. He also inaugurated the intermediate care center which was set up at a cost of Rs 2.36 crore.
