Inauguration of ``Namma School Foundation'' to improve government schools in Tamil Nadu - Chief Minister Stalin announced Rs 5 lakh own funds

  • More than 800 cell phone towers are still under construction. PM Modi inaugurated the newly launched IIM in Shillong.
  • Modi also inaugurated buildings for honey cultivation and integrated mushroom cultivation projects for the benefit of farmers.

Appointment of Karthikeya Shivsenapati as Chairman of Diaspora Tamil Welfare Board - Government of Tamil Nadu
  • The Government of Tamil Nadu has issued orders for the appointment of Chairman and Members of the "Expatriate Tamil Welfare Board" created for the welfare of Tamils living in foreign states and abroad.
  • Kangeyam Karthikeya Sivasenapati from Old Kottay, Tirupur district has been appointed as the Chairman of Diaspora Tamil Welfare Board.
  • The non-governmental members of the board are Arumugam Parasuraman, resident of Mauritius, Muhammad Faisal, resident of London, Siddiqui Syed Meeran, resident of United Arab Emirates; Caldwell Velnambi, who lives in North America, Gopalakrishnan Venkataramanan alias GV Ram, who lives in Singapore, A.
