The Prime Minister flagged off the Vande Bharat Express train service at Nagpur railway station

  • Prime Minister Modi inaugurated projects worth Rs.75 thousand crores in Nagpur, Maharashtra. Inauguration of Samruti Expressway and 10 km. Modi traveled far by car. The expressway is named as 'Balasakeb Thackeray Marathi Samruthi Mahamarg'. 701 km. The first phase of this long road is 520 km. Designed for distance.
  • Maratha Governor Bhagat Singh, Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari and others participated in the event.
Welfare scheme for all - Tamil Nadu achieved first place in the country
  • Aimed at providing quality, free medical services to all the people, the 'All Health Scheme' is celebrated annually on 12th Dec (today) as the Day for All Health Scheme.
  • This year, the festival was celebrated for the last 2 days (Dec. 10, 11) in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, with the central theme of 'Let's create the healthy future world we want for everyone'.
  • In this event attended by Union and State Health Ministers and Public Health Department experts, the states that have implemented the welfare program for all were honored.
  • From last October 12th to December 8th, 22.59 lakh people have been given telemedicine consultations in all health centers operating in Tamil Nadu and a record has been created.
  • Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya honored Tamil Nadu National Health Group Director Shilpa Prabhakar Satish with a certificate of appreciation for Tamil Nadu standing first in the country.
Stalin inaugurated the statue of Bharatiyar in Kashi, Uttar Pradesh
  • Chief Minister M.K.Stalin inaugurated the memorial house and the bust of Mahakavi Bharatiyar in Khasi, Uttar Pradesh yesterday via video. He also unveiled a special flower for Bharati Commemoration Centenary.
  • Also, the memorial house has a small library with pictures depicting Bharatiyar's life history, biographies and his works.
Japan's 'lander' was launched to the moon
  • To carry out research on the moon, a private company called 'I Space' from Tokyo, Japan developed the lander. The United Arab Emirates, which is involved in the study, has developed the 'rover' instrument.
  • Both these instruments were launched from the United States' Cape Canaveral space station on a SpaceX rocket. Designed to be fuel-efficient, the lander will travel 16 lakh km from Earth and take five months to land on the moon.
  • It is noteworthy that NASA's recently launched test spacecraft reached the moon in five days. The United Arab Emirates' rover has been named Rashid after the royal family of Dubai. The 10 kg rover will land on the moon and explore for 10 days.
National Squash - Joshna 'Champion'
  • The 78th Senior National Squash Championship Series was held in Chennai. In the women's singles final, Tamil Nadu's Joshna Chinnappa, 36, and Delhi's Anahat Singh, 14, clashed. A brilliant Joshna won 3-0 (11-8, 11-9, 11-9) to clinch the title for the 19th time.
  • Tamil Nadu's Abhay Singh and Velavan Senthilkumar clashed in the men's singles final. Velavan won the first set 13-11.
  • Abhay Singh, who saw an upswing, won the next three sets 11-7, 11-6, 11-4. At the end of the 48-minute match, Abhay Singh won 3-1 (11-13, 11-7, 11-6, 11-4) and won the national title for the first time.
39th India-Indonesia Joint Patrol Mission
  • The 39th India-Indonesia joint patrol and surveillance mission is underway. This patrol, which started on December 8, 2022 in Pelawan, Indonesia, will continue until the 19th.
  • This combined patrol, known as Corbett, is taking place on December 15 and 16 near the Line of International Maritime Control. In this, on behalf of India, indigenously built naval ship INS Karmukh and land utility ship L-58 are involved.
  • Representing Indonesia are KRI Cut Nyack Dine, Kapitan Patimura Glass Currywee. This patrol will create understanding between the navies of the two countries to prevent illegal fishing, drug trafficking, maritime terrorism, intrusions, etc. Also, it will be helpful to detect pirates and prevent illegal immigration.
PM dedicates Nagpur AIIMS Hospital to the nation
  • Prime Minister Narendra Modi today dedicated the AIIMS Hospital in Nagpur to the nation. Following this, he visited the AIIMS Hospital model and the Milestone Exhibition Gallery. By dedicating AIIMS Nagpur to the nation, the Prime Minister's vision to strengthen health facilities across the country has been implemented.
  • The Prime Minister laid the foundation stone for this hospital built under the Prime Minister's Swasthya Suraksha Yojana in 2017. Built at a cost of Rs 1,575 crore, AIIMS Nagpur will be a super specialty hospital for 30 departments of medicine. It also includes OPD, IPD diagnostic services, surgery theatres.
  • Featuring state-of-the-art medical facilities, the hospital will ensure that the people of Maharashtra's Vidarbha region and the adjoining tribal areas of Katchiroli, Kandia and Melgad get quality treatment.
  • Along with the Prime Minister, Maharashtra Chief Minister Mr. Eknath Shinde, State Governor Mr. Bhagatsingh Koshyari, Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Devendra Phadnavis, Union Minister of Roads and Highways Mr. Nitin Gadkari also attended.
