Launch of Track KD, a new app to track criminals
- Tamil Nadu Police Department is taking various measures to prevent crimes. As a part of this, a mobile app named Track KD has been introduced. This app can easily track criminals and criminals. The inaugural ceremony was held at the office of the Director General of Tamilnadu Police in Chennai on Friday.
- Director General of Tamil Nadu Police Department C. Shailendrababu launched the app and started the service. Earlier, law and order ADGP P. Thamaraikannan presided over the program. Chennai Metropolitan Police Department Additional Commissioner of Police Prem Anand Sinha and others participated.
- In our neighboring country Nepal, elections were held on the 20th for the seven provincial assembly consisting of 275 MPs and 550 MLAs. Apart from 165 MPs, 110 MPs were elected on proportional basis.
- At the same time, out of 550 assembly members, 220 members except 330 members were elected through proportional system. 22 thousand polling booths were set up for 1.79 crore voters across the country; 61 percent votes were cast. The counting of votes started a few days ago.

- While the Chief Ministers of the states have demanded that the GST arrears be released to the states as soon as possible, the government headed by Prime Minister Modi has today released Rs.17000 crore as GST arrears for the 3 months from April to June.
- In the last 3 months from April to June, it has released Rs.1188 crores to Tamil Nadu, Rs.2081 crores to Maharashtra state, Rs.1915 crores to Karnataka, Rs.1200 crores to Delhi and Rs.1202 crores to Uttar Pradesh state.
- It is noted that the central government has released Rs.1,15,662 crore as GST arrears to the states during the financial year 20220-2023.
- Sandhya Devanathan has been appointed as the new president of META India. From 1st January 2023, Sandhya Devanathan Mehta is expected to take charge as the Vice President of India.
- Sandhya Devanathan graduated in 1994 in B.Tech Chemical Engineering from Andhra University, Andhra Pradesh.
- After that he completed his MBA from Delhi University in 1998. In 2014, he completed a course on leadership from the University of Oxford.

- Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi addressed a function held today (25.11.2022) in New Delhi to mark the 400th birth anniversary of Lachit Porbukhan. On this occasion, he also released a book titled 'Lachit Porbukhan - The Hero of Assam Who Stopped the Mughals'.
- Lachit Porbu Khan (24. November, 1622- 25 April, 1672), a famous military commander of the Agom Kingdom of Assam, defeated the Mughals and successfully stopped Aurangzeb's expansionist ambitions.
- During the Battle of Saraigad in 1671, Lachit Porbukhan inspired the Assamese soldiers and defeated the Mughals. His 400th birth anniversary was inaugurated by President Ram Nath Kovind in Guwahati in February this year.
- India has won the Vice-Chairmanship of the International Electronic Technology Commission and the Chairmanship of the Central Management Board for the period 2023-25.
- The Indian National Committee of the Commission and the Indian Standards Organization at the recent General Meeting of the International Electronic Technology Commission held in San Francisco, USA.
- A member of various Technical Committees, the Indian representative won by securing around 90% of the votes of the members.
- India's representation in the policy and governance bodies of International Standards Organizations and the International Electronic Technology Commission will not only serve to highlight India's views on key central and policy issues, but will also provide an opportunity to align national standards priorities with international best practices.
- Indian representative Mr. Vimal Mahenduru will hold the post of Vice-Chairman of the International Electronic Technology Commission.
- The International Electrotechnical Commission serves as the international standard-setting body for electrical, electronic and related technologies. It may be noted that the Standards Management Board is the main administrative body of the Commission responsible for technical policy related matters.
- To accelerate the development of natural gas infrastructure and promote rapid growth of the natural gas market in the country, the Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board has come up with amendments to its three regulations namely Natural Gas Pipeline Fees, Authorization and Regulatory Capacity Regulations.
- These amendments will be effective from 1 April 2023 to facilitate the implementation of unified tariff norms. An industry committee has been set up to address issues related to the implementation of integrated fares.
- The aim of these changes is to ensure availability of natural gas in remote areas at affordable prices to achieve the vision of one country, one package, one tariff.
- In order to simplify the implementation of integrated tariff, amendments have been introduced to bring the enterprise-level integrated natural gas pipeline tariff at par with the national-level integrated tariff.
- Also the number of integrated payment zones has been increased from two to three to protect the overall welfare of consumers in different regions.
- Other amendments like allowing unaccounted gas, moratorium period, increase in capacity have also been incorporated.
