- மறைந்த கவிஞர் குவெம்பு நினைவாக ஆண்டுதோறும் கன்னட தேசிய கவி குவேம்பு ராஷ்டிரிய புரஸ்கார் விருது வழங்கப்பட்டு வருகிறது. அந்த வகையில் இந்த ஆண்டுக்கான கன்னட தேசிய குவெம்பு விருது எழுத்தாளர் இமையத்துக்கு அறிவிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.
- இவர் இதுவரை 11 நாவல்களை எழுதியுள்ளார். மேலும் அவரது 2 சிறுகதை தொகுப்புகளும் வெளிவந்துள்ளன. அவர் எழுதிய நாவல்களில் கோவேறு கழுதைகள், செடல், செல்லாத பணம் ஆகிய நாவல்கள் பெரிய அங்கீகாரத்தை பெற்றன.
- மேலும் அவர் எழுதிய கதைகளில் பெத்தவன் என்ற சிறுகதை தமிழில் அதிகம் அச்சிடப்பட்ட கதைகளில் ஒன்றாக திகழ்கிறது. இவரின் செல்லாத பணம் நாவலுக்கு கடந்த 2020 ஆம் ஆண்டு சாகித்ய அகாதெமி விருது வழங்கப்பட்டது.
- இந்த நிலையில் இந்தாண்டுக்கான கன்னட தேசிய கவி குவேம்பு ராஷ்டிரிய புரஸ்கார் விருது எழுத்தாளர் இமையத்துக்கு அறிவிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.
- இதை அடுத்து அவருக்கு விருதுடன் 5 லட்சம் ரூபாய் ரொக்கம் மற்றும் வெள்ளிப்பதக்கம் வழங்கப்படும் என தெரிவிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. மேலும் தமிழுக்கும் தமிழ் மக்களுக்கும் பெருமை சேர்த்தவர் இமையம்.
- Kannada National Poet Kuvembu Rashtriya Puraskar Award is given annually in memory of the late poet Kuvembu. Accordingly, this year's Kannada National Kuvembu Award for Writers has been announced.
- He has written 11 novels so far. Also 2 collections of his short stories have been published. Among his novels, Mules, Cedal, and Bad Money received great acclaim. And among the stories he wrote, the short story Pethavan is one of the most printed stories in Tamil. He was awarded the Sahitya Akademi Award in 2020 for his novel 'Vali Panya'.
