World's Largest Staffed Organization - Top for Indian Defense Department

  • Germany-based Statista has released a ranking of organizations with the most employees. India's Ministry of Defense tops the list with 29.2 lakh employees. Next comes US Defense Department with 29.1 lakh employees and China's Defense Department with 25.5 lakh employees is at 3rd place.
  • As for private companies, Walmart has 2.3 million employees worldwide. Next is Amazon with 16.1 lakh employees. Last year, 2.1 trillion dollars was spent on the military globally. America, China, India, Britain and Russia are the five countries that have spent the most.

  • 'Auro 748' type aircraft are being used for the transport of our Air Force personnel. Aircraft of this type were procured in the 1960s. Subsequently, the central government planned to buy new modern transport planes by scrapping those planes.
  • For this purpose, it was decided to purchase the C295 aircraft of the Airbus company based in the European country of Spain. A total of 21,935 crore rupees was signed last year for the purchase of 56 aircraft. NEW ERA Under this contract, 16 aircraft are to be handed over to us within four years.
  • The remaining 40 aircraft are to be manufactured in our country. For this, an agreement was signed between the 'Airbus' company and the 'Tata Advanced Systems' company from our country.
  • The aircraft manufacturing plant is being established in Vadodara, Gujarat. Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone for this.
  • Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupender Patel, Union Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia, Tata Sons Chairman N. Chandrasekaran, Airbus CEO Kuilam Pauri and others participated in the event.
