Union Minister Amit Shah launched MBBS medical course in Hindi for the first time in the country in the state of Madhya Pradesh
- For the first time in the country, MBBS medical course in Hindi has been launched in the state of Madhya Pradesh. Meanwhile, Union Home Minister Amit Shah released Hindi books for the subjects of Medical Biochemistry, Medical Anatomy, and Medical Physiology in a program held in Bhopal, the capital of Madhya Pradesh state.
- Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, State Medical Education Minister Vishwas Charank and others participated in the event. 97 experts from Gandhi Medical College, Bhopal have developed these Hindi MBBS course books. It is noteworthy that it took 232 days to translate textbooks from English to Hindi.
- PM Modi inaugurated 75 digital bank branches to make life easier for common man. Inaugurating digital bank branches through video, Prime Minister Modi further said:
- 75 digital bank branches have now been inaugurated to mark the country's 75th year of independence. This includes two digital banking branches of Kashmir Bank.
- Public and private sector banks have jointly set up these digital branches in 75 districts across the country. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, RBI Governor Shaktikanta Das and others participated in the inauguration of the Digital Bank branch.
- Uttarakhand is under the leadership of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Thami. In this case, the National Education Policy has been introduced for the first time in the country in primary schools located here along with Anganwadis.
- Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and State Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Thami introduced it.
- Defense Minister Mr. Rajnath Singh is scheduled to meet the Defense Ministers of African countries on October 18 as part of the 12th Defense Exhibition to be held in Gandhinagar, Gujarat on October 18 during the Indo-African Defense Dialogue.
- The theme of the meeting was 'India Africa: Developing a Strategy for Integrating and Strengthening Military and Security Cooperation'.
- India and Africa have a close and historic relationship. India's approach to Africa is guided by the Kampala Principles introduced by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi in 2018. It is noteworthy that the first ever Indo-African Defense Ministers' Summit was held in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh during the Defense Expo held in February 2020.
- The Central Conference on National Scheduled Tribes and Scheduled Tribes was organized by the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises in Mizoram on 15th October.
- The objective of the conference is to create awareness about the various programs of the Ministry including National Scheduled Ethnic-Scheduled Tribes Center and promote a culture of entrepreneurship.
- Mizoram State Minister for Health and Family Welfare, Higher and Technical Education, Commerce and Industry Dr. R. Mr. Mercy Eppao, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises of the Central Government participated in the function where Lalthangliana was the special guest. Around 300 entrepreneurs participated in it.
- The event also served as a platform for entrepreneurs to discuss with central government public sector organizations such as Food Corporation of India, Energy Synthesis Corporation, North East Electric Energy Corporation, etc.
