- தமிழக காவல்துறையை நவீனமாக்கும் வகையில் தமிழக முதல்வர் மு.க.ஸ்டாலின் பல்ேவறு சிறப்பு திட்டங்களை அறிமுகம் செய்து வருகிறார்.
- அந்த வகையில் காவல் துறையில் களப்பணியில் பணியாற்றும் காவலர்களுக்கு ஏதேனும் பிரச்னைகள் ஏற்பட்டால் உதவி கோரவும், அது தொடர்பாக தகவல்களை உயரதிகாரிகளுக்கு தெரிவிக்கும் வகையில் 'ஸ்மார்ட் காவலர்' என்ற செயலி புதிதாக தொடங்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.
- சர்வதேச தரத்திலான தொழில்நுட்பத்தை புகுத்தி காவல்துறையை நவீனமயமாக்க தமிழக அரசு பல்வேறு நடவடிக்கைகளை எடுத்து வருகிறது.
- அதன் ஒரு பகுதியாக காவல்துறையினரின் செயல்திறனை மேம்படுத்தவும், குற்ற ஆவணங்களை துல்லியமாக பதிவு செய்யவும், பராமரிக்கவும், தரவுகளை முறையாகவும், சிறப்பாக கையாளவும், 'ஸ்மார்ட் காவலர்' என்ற புதிய செயலியை தமிழக காவல்துறை இயக்குநர் அலுவலகத்தில் டிஜிபி சைலேந்திரபாபு தொடங்கி வைத்தார்.
- 'ஸ்மார்ட் காவலர்' செயலி காவல் துறையில் களப்பணியாற்றும் அலுவலர்களின் செயல்பாடுகளை கண்காணிப்பதற்காகவும், களப்பணியின்பொழுது நிகழும் சம்பவங்களை உடனுக்குடன் பதிவு செய்வதற்காகவும், கள அலுவலர்களுக்கு ஏதேனும் பிரச்னை ஏற்பட்டாலோ அல்லது உடனடி உதவிகள் தேவைப்பட்டாலோ அது குறித்த செய்தியினை உடனடியாக உயர் அலுவலர்களுக்கு தெரிவிக்க ஏதுவாக இருக்கும்.
- இந்த செயலியை தமிழக காவல்துறை டிஜிபி சைலேந்திரபாபு ெதாடங்கி வைத்தார். அப்போது சென்னை மாநகர போலீஸ் கமிஷனர் சங்கர் ஜிவால், ஆவடி கமிஷனர் சந்தீப் ராய் ரத்தோர், தாம்பரம் கமிஷனர் அமல்ராஜ் மற்றும் தமிழக சட்டம் ஒழுங்கு கூடுதல் டிஜிபி தாமரைக்கண்ணன் ஆகியோர் உடன் இருந்தனர்.
- Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M. K. Stalin has been introducing many special schemes to modernize the Tamil Nadu Police. In this way, a new application called 'Smart Kavalar' has been launched so that the policemen working in the field can request help in case of any problems and inform the higher authorities about the same.
- The Tamil Nadu government is taking various steps to modernize the police by introducing international standard technology.
- As part of it, DGP Shailendrababu launched a new app called 'Smart Kavalar' in the office of the Director General of Police, Tamil Nadu to improve the efficiency of the police, accurately record and maintain crime documents, organize and better handle data.
- The 'Smart Kavalar' application will be used to monitor the activities of the field officers in the police department, to record the incidents occurring during the field work immediately, and if the field officers face any problem or require immediate assistance, they will be able to report the same to the higher officers immediately.
- Tamil Nadu Police DGP Shailendrababu installed this app. Chennai Metropolitan Police Commissioner Shankar Jiwal, Avadi Commissioner Sandeep Rai Rathore, Tambaram Commissioner Amalraj and Tamil Nadu Additional DGP Law and Order Thamaraikannan were also present.
