Center approves nasal corona vaccine
- It prevents the spread of infection from one person to another. In this case, the Bharat Biotech company was involved in an attempt to administer the corona vaccine through the nose.
- Accordingly, the Drug Regulatory Authority of India has today granted approval for emergency use of the company's vaccine. Bharat Biotech has become the first company to develop a nasal delivery system for the corona vaccine.
- More than 14,500 schools across the country will be upgraded to BM Sri schools. The total cost of these schools will be Rs 27,360 crore. Of this, the Central Government's share for the five-year period from 2022-23 to 2026-27 will be Rs.18,128 crore.

- The Union Cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has approved the second phase of the Kochi Metro Rail project from JLN Maidan to Information Park via Kakkanad. For this, works are to be carried out at an estimated cost of Rs. 1,957.05 crore for a distance of 11.17 km through 11 stations.
- From Aluva to Peta in 22 stations, the first phase of 25.6 km work at an estimated cost of Rs 5,181.79 crore has been completed and traffic is underway. Under the first phase 'B' project of Kochi Metro, 1.20 km distance from SN Station to Tripunithura Terminus is currently in progress.
- A bench of Chief Justice Muneeswarnath Bhandari and Justice Mala, which has decided the case filed by Satheeswaran, has given this instruction. That is, while allocating 100 per cent seats on the basis of merit and social quotas, there is no need to allocate 30 per cent separately if women already have 30 per cent or more, the order said.
- It has also been said that if the representation of women is less than 30%, quota can be made based on 30% quota. As per the current practice, 30 per cent of the seats are reserved for women first and then 70 per cent of the seats are reserved for both sexes.
- It has been said that the reservation for women under Horizontal reservation should not be treated as social reservation under Vertical reservation. The judges said that the order was issued based on constitutional provisions and court orders. Therefore, orders have been issued to take into consideration the court instructions in the subsequent appointments.
- The Union Cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has approved the MoU between India and UK, Northern Ireland on 25.04.2022 regarding recognition of educational qualifications.
- UK asked India to recognize their country's one-year master's degree. Later, in a meeting held in New Delhi on 16th December 2020 in which the ministers of the two countries participated, it was decided to set up a joint action committee to consider the matter. Its first meeting was held on February 4, 2021. It was then agreed to draft a memorandum of understanding between the two parties.
- Through the agreement between India and England, the agreement has been signed in engineering, medicine, nursing studies, paramedical studies, pharmacy, law, architecture and other professional courses. Through this, there will be facilities for joint or dual degree studies.
- The Union Cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi has approved the signing of MoU between the Ministry of Education of the Government of India and the Ministry of Education of the United Arab Emirates on cooperation in the field of education.
- The MoU aims to further strengthen the existing collaboration between India and the UAE in education and expand the involvement of the Government of India. The MoU signed in 2015 with the UAE in the field of education expired in 2018. Subsequently, in 2019, a new MoU was proposed to be signed between the two countries.
- This new MoU incorporates the changes brought about by the National Education Policy 2020 in the Indian education sector. The MoU aims to promote cooperation in programs such as information exchange, technology, vocational education and training, capacity building for teachers, joint and dual degree programs between the two higher education institutions.
- This new MoU will enhance educational cooperation and increase the mobility of education between India and UAE. Acknowledging these mutual qualifications will facilitate communication.
- This MoU shall be valid for 5 years from the date of signing and shall be automatically renewed upon mutual consent. This new MoU will supersede the previous MoU signed with the UAE in 2015. Then it won't work.
