7 Agreement between India and Bangladesh in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Sheikh Hasina
- Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina arrived in Delhi yesterday on a 4-day visit. Trade relations between the two countries reached 50 years in 2021. Since then he has come to India for the first time. He was given a grand welcome at the President's House yesterday.
- At that time, President Dravupati Murmu, Prime Minister Naranethra Modi, External Affairs Minister Jaishankar were present. Subsequently, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Sheikh Hasina met at Hyderabad residence in Delhi.
- They then held talks on strengthening bilateral relations. The two also discussed Bangladesh flood situation, terrorism issue, bilateral and regional and international issues.
- The bilateral delegation held extensive talks on transport connectivity, energy, water resources, trade, investment, border management and security, development cooperation, regional and multilateral issues. After that, 7 agreements were signed in the presence of the two leaders.
The central government has released Rs 7,183 crore to 14 states as revenue deficit subsidy
- For the financial year 2022-23, the 15th Finance Commission has recommended Rs 86,201 crore for the 14 states as revenue shortfall after fiscal allocation. Accordingly, this amount is being disbursed to certain states in 12-month installments.
- In this case, Rs.7,183 crore has been released for the month of September as the 6th installment. The Central Expenditure Department has released this subsidy to 14 states including Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, Assam, Rajasthan and West Bengal. Accordingly, Rs.43,100 crore has been released so far for the current financial year.
- Under Article 275 of the Constitution, post-distribution income deficit subsidy is provided. After the allocation of funds, the Finance Committee will recommend the states with revenue deficit after calculating the revenue and expenditure of the states. The Central Department of Expenditure will disburse the subsidy in 12 installments every year to the nominated states.
- For the financial year 2022-23, the subsidy is available to 14 states including Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Himachal Pradesh, Kerala, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Punjab, Rajasthan, Sikkim, Tripura, Uttarakhand and West Bengal.
- UNESCO, the UN's educational, scientific and cultural body, has been recognizing cities that are doing well in promoting long-term learning in different countries. Cities thus recognized are included in the list of international cities of learning. In this case, 77 cities belonging to 44 countries are present in this list.
- From our country, the cities of Telangana's Warangal, Kerala's Thrissur and Nilampur are currently included in this list. Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine, Durban, South Africa, and Sharjah, United Arab Emirates, are also included in this list. Through this, a total of 294 cities from 76 countries have been included in this list so far.
- Since 1996, Chief Minister's State Sports Awards have been presented. In 2004, physical education teachers, physical education directors, and in 2008, sports administrator, donor and referees were included as awardees.
- Accordingly, the best athletes of 2018-19 are tennis players S. Prithivisekhar, Jeevan Nedunjezhiyan, the best players are P. Nivetha (gun shooting), Sunaina Sara Guruvilla (squash), the best coaches are Satgurudas (rifle shooting), G. Kokila (athletics), C.Rajesh Khanna (Football), MP Murali (Volleyball) and VP Dhanapal (Basketball) have been selected as the best physical education director and gym teacher.
- The Tamil Nadu Basketball Association has been selected as the best sports organiser. Similarly, for the year 2019-20, Prajnesh Guneswaran (Tennis), R. Mohankumar (Athletics), P. Anusuya Priyadarshini (Taekwondo), S. Selena Deepti (Table Tennis) and KS Mohammed Nijamuddin (Table Tennis) as the best players. Athletics), G. - Last September 1, the joint military exercise named 'VASTOC' started in Russia. The exercise, which will take place in Russia's Far East and the Sea of Japan, will conclude on Wednesday (September 7).
- 13 countries including India, China, Laos and Mongolia have participated in this. More than 50,000 players are engaged in training. 140 warplanes, 60 warships and thousands of weapons have been used in the exercise.
- More than 2,000 soldiers on behalf of the Chinese tri-armies have participated in this exercise. 300 military vehicles, 21 warplanes and 3 warships of the country have also been sent for training.

- Tamil Literature Department, Tamil and Dravidian Linguistics, Tamil and Southern History, Sociology, Tamil Department of Jawaharlal Nehru University has been expanded as a separate department of Tamil Literature. A fund of Rs.5 crore has been ordered for this purpose.
- The Union Ministry of Cooperatives has constituted a committee to prepare a new National Cooperative Policy Document. 3 people from Tamilnadu have been included in this group.
- The Union Ministry of Cooperatives has announced that Dr. Pichai, Chairman of Cooperative Department of Gandhigram Rural Corporation, Chairman of Tamil Nadu Co-op Tex, Secretary of Tamil Nadu Cooperative Department have been included in this committee.
- The committee is headed by former Union Minister Suresh Prabhu. The group will be involved in the work of developing an economic development model for the co-operative sector.
- It has been reported that major changes are to be made in the National Cooperative Policy documents created in 2002.
- 47 prominent persons including Professor Sukhpal Singh of IIM Ahmedabad, Central Board Director of Reserve Bank of India Satish, Joint Secretary of Central Department of Rural Development have been appointed as members of the committee to prepare the new National Cooperative Robbery Document.
