Tamil Nadu is at the 46th position in the central ranking list
- Tamil Nadu Electricity Board, Power Generation and Distribution Corporation and Power System Corporation are functioning as the companies. Out of which, Power Generation and Distribution undertakes distribution work to 3.20 crore power connections.
- Two or three power distribution companies are operating in states including Andhra Pradesh and Gujarat. The Central Power Department examines the financial condition and power distribution performance of 52 public sector power distribution companies operating across the country and publishes the annual ranking list.
- In the last list published in 2019-20, the Tamil Nadu Electricity Board was ranked 40th. Currently, it is ranked 46th in the list for the financial year 2020-21 with a 'C minus grade'.
- In that year, while the electricity board earned a revenue of 49 thousand, 785 crore rupees, it suffered a loss of 13 thousand, 407 crore rupees.

- According to the NCRP report, occupational problems, loneliness, abuse, violence, family problems, mental disorders, alcohol addiction, financial loss and chronic pain are the main reasons for suicide incidents in the country.
- In 2021, Maharashtra recorded the highest number of suicides among all Indian states, with 1,64,033 such cases across India, followed by Tamil Nadu and Madhya Pradesh. Most suicides were reported in Maharashtra (22,207), followed by Tamil Nadu with 18,925 suicides, Madhya Pradesh with 14,965, West Bengal with 13,500 and Karnataka with 13,056, the report said.

- Ministry of AYUSH is taking significant efforts to achieve One Medicine, One Standard. Accordingly, an agreement for cooperation between the Pharmacopoeia Authority of India for Medicine and Homeopathy (Ministry of Ayush) and the Pharmacopoeia Authority of India (Ministry of Health and Family Welfare) was signed in New Delhi.

- The International Center for Technology has signed an MoU with Northcap University, Gurugram for joint research and short and mid-term training courses in the field of electric vehicle manufacturing.
