Promulgation of ordinance allocating funds of Rs.752 crore to local bodies

  • The Tamil Nadu government has issued an ordinance allocating Rs 424 crore to village panchayats, Rs 270 crore to panchayat unions and Rs 50 crore to district panchayats. It has been informed that this fund will be used for many projects including funds required for local bodies, uninterrupted drinking water and rainwater harvesting projects.
Airports Authority of India has signed an MoU with Sweden for modern and sustainable aeronautical technology cooperation
