35th Anniversary North American Tamil Association Conference
- The 35th anniversary of the North American Federation of Tamil Associations ('FEDNA'), which is a federation of more than 70 Tamil associations in the United States and Canada, was held yesterday.
- In this, the World Tamil Foundation Award for the year 2020 was given to Literary Semmal Tamilko Ilangumaranar and the award for the year 2021 was given to Erode Tamilanpan. Chief Minister Stalin participated in this through video.
- On behalf of the Industries Department of the Government of Tamil Nadu, an Investors Conference titled 'Investors' First Address - Tamil Nadu' was held at Taj Coromandel, Chennai.
- Chief Minister M. K. Stalin attended and inaugurated the conference. In this, Tamil Nadu Life Science Policy 2022, Tamil Nadu Research and Development Policy was announced by Chief Minister M.K.Stalin in the event.
- Also, Chief Minister M.K.Stalin also launched the TNExperience program to increase widespread adoption of financial technology in the state.
- Also, Chief Minister M. K. Stalin launched the website for the TNExperience project (https://tntecxperience.com).
- On the occasion, Tamil Nadu FinTech Investment Pitch Festival - TN PitchFest - a fintech investment pitch festival to create a platform for startups in Tamil Nadu and to introduce venture capital firms and new investors to the innovation environment in Tamil Nadu, was inaugurated by the Chief Minister.

- In the conference, MoUs were signed with 11 financial technology companies in the presence of Chief Minister M.K.Stalin.
- The Chief Minister also issued orders to the companies for providing incentive packages to 2 companies recommended by the Cabinet Committee on Financial Technology for providing incentives under the FinTech Policy.
- MoUs for 53 projects involving an investment of Rs 65,373 crore and providing employment to 58,478 people were signed in the presence of the Chief Minister.
- 59,871 crores investment and 16,420 jobs in the form of special package concessions for 7 projects were executed in the presence of Chief Minister M.K.Stalin.
- 60 MoUs were signed in the presence of Chief Minister M. K. Stalin, creating employment for 74,898 people with a total investment of Rs.1,25,244 crore.
- Also, Chief Minister M. K. Stalin laid the foundation stone for 21 projects with an investment of 22,252 crore rupees to create employment for 17,654 people.
- He also initiated commercial production of 12 projects to create employment for 7,050 people with an investment of Rs 1,497 crore.
- As announced in the revised budget speech for the year 2021-22, he released the Tamil Nadu Life Sciences Development Policy 2022 to further strengthen Tamil Nadu's role in the life sciences sector.
- As announced in the Amended Budget speech for the year 2021-22, Chief Minister M. K. Stalin released the Tamil Nadu Research and Development Policy 2022 to further strengthen Tamil Nadu's role in the research and development sector.
- Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi inaugurated Digital India Week 2022 at Gandhi Nagar. It is being held under the theme Building Technology for a New India.
- He also launched various digital initiatives during the event. Speaking on the occasion, he said that he is happy that the Digital India movement, which was started eight years ago, has expanded to a large extent.
- Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi inaugurated the one-year 125th birth anniversary celebrations of legendary freedom fighter Alluri Sitarama Raju in Bhimavaram, Andhra Pradesh. Chief Minister Mr YS Jaganmohan Reddy and Union Minister Mr G Kishan Reddy attended the event.
- Alluri Sitarama Raju, born on 4 July 1897, is remembered for his struggle against the British to protect the interests of the tribal communities of the Eastern Ghats region.
- He led the Rampa Rebellion that started in 1922. He is referred to as “Manyam Veerudu” (Man of Forests) by the locals.
- The government has planned various initiatives as part of the year-long celebrations. Alluri Sitarama Raju's birthplace Pandurangi (to mark 100 years of the Rampa Rebellion) and Sinthapalli Police Station (the police station attacked when the Rampa Rebellion started) in Vijayanagaram district are to be reconstructed.
- The government has approved the construction of the Alluri Dhyana Temple at Mogallu with a statue of Alluri Sitarama Raju bearing the Dhyana seal, depicting the freedom fighter's life story with murals and artificial intelligence-based dialogue recognition.
