Drarubathi Murmu was sworn in as the country's 15th President - sworn in by the Chief Justice

  • The tenure of Ram Nath Kovind, who was the 14th President of the country, ended the day before yesterday. The election to elect the new president was held on the 18th. Drarubathi Murmu from the tribal community contested as the BJP alliance candidate and Yashwanta Sinha as the opposition candidate.
  • The votes cast in the election were counted on the 21st. Of this, Dravupati Murmu got 6,76,803 votes (64) and Yashwant Sinha got 3,80,177 votes. With this, Drarubathi Murmu won by a margin of 2,96,626 votes.
  • In this case, Murmu's swearing-in ceremony took place in the morning at the Parliament Central Hall. Before his inauguration, he visited the Mahatma Gandhi Memorial at Rajghat to pay his respects.
  • At exactly 10.15 am, Drarubathi Murmu was sworn in as the 15th President of the country in the name of God. Supreme Court Chief Justice NV Ramana administered the oath of office to him.
  • Subsequently, Murmu signed the Charter of Acceptance. Then, he was honored with 21 gunshots. Draupadi holds the distinction of being the country's first tribal president, 2nd woman president and youngest president.
  • All those who have been sworn in as President so far were born before the independence of the country. Drarubathi Murmu (64) is the only president born after independence.
Under the Production Linked Incentive Scheme, the central government is providing an incentive of Rs.120 crore
  • Manufacturing Linked Incentive Scheme announced on September 30, 2021 for drones and drone spare parts. Accordingly, a provisional list of 23 beneficiaries of Production Linked Incentives was released on 6 July 2022.
  • This list of beneficiaries includes 12 drone manufacturers and 11 drone component manufacturers. Qualifications prescribed for drone and drone component manufacturers
  • Eligibility for MSMEs and New Entrepreneurs – Drone manufacturers with annual sales revenue of Rs.2 crore. Drone component manufacturers have annual sales revenue of Rs.50 lakhs
  • Eligibility for Non-Small, Small and Medium Enterprises - Drone manufacturers with annual sales turnover of Rs.4 crores Drone component manufacturers with annual sales turnover of Rs.1 crores
