Gold for India in Sniper 50m Rifle 3 Position for Mixed Teams
- In the mixed 50m Rifle 3 position event, Kusale and Ashi Sawkzi of India defeated Serhi Kulish and Taria Taikova of Ukraine 16-12 to win the gold medal. This is the 2nd gold medal won by India in the series.
- India also won gold in the women's 10m air rifle category. India finished 2nd with 2 gold and 3 silver in the medal list in the series which ended yesterday. Korea topped with 3 gold and 3 bronze.
- World Environment Day is celebrated on June 5 (today). In this regard, the Chief Minister also presented the Green Awards for the year 2021 to the District Collectors Dr. S. - The first tribal village 'En Uru' has been established on an area of 25 acres on the Pookodu hill in the Wayanad district of Kerala.
- Sri Lakshmi, Wayanad Deputy Governor and Chairman of the 'En Uru' Foundation, said, "The Comprehensive Tribal Community Development Program aims to provide a platform for exposing the traditional knowledge and traditions of the tribal people and to fulfill the livelihood aspirations of the tribal community."
- The project is being implemented by the Department of Tourism and the Department of Tribal Development at a cost of Rs. 10 crore. The then Wayanad Deputy Collector started this project in 2012 at a cost of Rs. 3 crore.
- Under the first phase, a tribal market, a tribal food outlet, a facilities center and a warehouse were built in the 2020 plan.
