- குறிஞ்சி என்று தமிழ் இலக்கியங்கள் வரையறை செய்யும் மலை, மலை சார்ந்த இடத்தைத் தங்கள் வீடாக்கக் கொண்டு வாழ்பவர்கள். மலைக்காடுகளில் இருந்து கிடைக்கும் வனப் பொருட்களை விற்று வாழ்க்கை நடத்துபவர்கள்.
