- மக்களுக்கு பாதுகாப்பான மற்றும் சத்தான உணவை வழங்கும் வகையில் இந்திய உணவு பாதுகாப்பு மற்றும் தர நிர்ணய ஆணையம் சார்பில் 2018ம் ஆண்டு முதல் உணவு பாதுகாப்பு குறியீடு வழங்கப்பட்டு வருகிறது.
- நாட்டு மக்களுக்கு பாதுகாப்பான உணவை உறுதி செய்யும் பொருட்டு, மாநிலங்கள் மற்றும் யூனியன் பிரதேசங்களை ஊக்குவிப்பதற்காக உணவு பாதுகாப்பு குறியீடு அறிமுகப்படுத்தப்பட்டது.
- உணவு பாதுகாப்பு தினத்தையொட்டி, இந்திய உணவு பாதுகாப்பு மற்றும் தர நிர்ணய ஆணையத்தின் மாநில உணவு பாதுகாப்பு குறியீட்டை மத்திய அமைச்சர் மன்சுக் மாண்ட்வியா வெளியிட்டார்.
- டெல்லியில் நடந்த நிகழ்ச்சியில் பேசிய அவர், வளமான இந்தியா அமைய ஆரோக்கியமான குடிமக்களை கொண்ட இந்தியா உருவாக வேண்டும் என தெரிவித்தார்.
- மாநில உணவு பாதுகாப்பு குறியீட்டில் பெரிய மாநிலங்களின் பட்டியலில் தமிழகம் முதலிடம் பிடித்து சாதனை படைத்துள்ளது.
- இதில், 2021-22 ஆம் ஆண்டிற்கான தரவரிசையின் அடிப்படையில் பெரிய மாநிலங்களில், தமிழ்நாடு முதலிடத்திலும், குஜராத் மற்றும் மகாராஷ்டிரா இரண்டாவது இடத்திலும் உள்ளன.
- சிறிய மாநிலங்களில் கோவா முதல் இடத்தைப் பிடித்தது. 2வது மற்றும் 3வது இடத்தில் மணிப்பூர் மற்றும் சிக்கிம் உள்ளது. யூனியன் பிரதேசங்களில், ஜம்மு காஷ்மீர், டெல்லி மற்றும் சண்டிகர் ஆகியவை முறையே 3 இடங்களை பிடித்துள்ளது.
- The Food Safety Code has been issued since 2018 on behalf of the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India to provide safe and nutritious food to the people.

- On the occasion of Food Safety Day, Union Minister Mansuk Mandvi released the State Food Safety Code of the Food Safety and Standards Commission of India.

- Tamil Nadu has topped the list of major states in the state food security index. Of these, Tamil Nadu tops the list of major states for the year 2021-22, followed by Gujarat and Maharashtra.
- Goa topped the list of smaller states. Manipur and Sikkim are in 2nd and 3rd place respectively. Among the Union Territories, Jammu and Kashmir, Delhi and Chandigarh are ranked 3rd respectively.
