- WORLD ASTHMA DAY 2024 - 1ST TUESDAY: Asthma is a debilitating disease caused by changes in the lungs and airways caused by chronic allergies. Symptoms of asthma include excessive shortness of breath or restlessness, insomnia caused by excessive coughing, chest pain, and tightness.
- According to the World Health Organization's 2019 report, there are approximately 262 million asthma patients worldwide. That year alone there were an estimated 4.60 lakh deaths.
