தென்னிந்தியாவில் குழந்தைத் திருமணங்கள் நடைபெறும் பட்டியல் / LIST OF CHILD MARRIAGES HAPPENS ON SOUTH INDIA

• தென்னிந்தியாவில் குழந்தைத் திருமணங்கள் நடைபெறும் முதல் ஐந்து மாநிலங்களின் பட்டியலை தேசிய குடும்பநல கணக்கெடுப்பு வெளியிட்டது.
• அதில் தென்னிந்தியாவில் அதிகமான குழந்தைத் திருமணங்கள் நடைபெறும் முதல் மாநிலமாக ஆந்திர பிரதேசம் உள்ளது. தமிழ்நாடு நான்காவது இடத்தில் உள்ளது.
• 2019-ம் ஆண்டில் ஜூலை 2-ம் தேதி முதல் நவம்பர் 14 வரை சுமார் 11,346 குடும்பங்களிடம் தேசிய குடும்ப நல கணக்கெடுப்பு (NFHS-5) ஆய்வினை நடத்தியது. அதில் ஆந்திராவில் 29.3 சதவிகித குழந்தைத் திருமணங்கள் பதிவாகி முதலிடத்தில் உள்ளது.
• இதற்கு முந்தைய கணக்கெடுப்பில் ஆந்திராவில் 33 சதவிகிதமாக இருந்த குழந்தைத் திருமண எண்ணிக்கை தற்போது குறைந்திருந்தாலும் மற்ற மாநிலங்களோடு ஒப்பிடும்போது ஆந்திரா தொடர்ந்து முதலிடம் வகிக்கிறது. 
• 23.5 சதவிகித குழந்தைத் திருமணங்களுடன் தெலங்கானா இரண்டாவது இடத்திலும், 21.3 சதவிகிதத்தில் கர்நாடகா மூன்றாவது இடத்திலும், 12.8 சதவிகிதத்தில் தமிழ்நாடு நான்காவது இடத்திலும், 6.3 சதவிகிதத்தில் கேரளா கடைசி இடத்திலும் இருக்கின்றன.
• இதுமட்டுமல்லாமல் 15 முதல் 19 வயதுக்குட்பட்ட பெண்களுக்கு திருமணமாகி குழந்தைகள் இருப்பதும் ஆய்வில் கண்டறியப்பட்டுள்ளது. 
• கோவிட் தொற்றின்போது குழந்தைத் திருமணங்களின் எண்ணிக்கை அதிகரித்துள்ளதாக ஒருங்கிணைந்த குழந்தைகள் மேம்பாட்டு சேவை அதிகாரிகள் தெரிவித்துள்ளனர்.

• The National Family Survey has released a list of the top five states where child marriages take place in South India. Andhra Pradesh is the first state in South India to have more child marriages. Tamil Nadu is in fourth place.
• The National Family Welfare Survey (NFHS-5) surveyed approximately 11,346 households from July 2 to November 14, 2019. Andhra Pradesh tops the list with 29.3 per cent child marriages.
• Although the number of child marriages in Andhra Pradesh has come down from 33 per cent in the previous survey, Andhra Pradesh continues to top the list as compared to other states.
• Telangana was second with 23.5 per cent child marriages, followed by Karnataka at 21.3 per cent, Tamil Nadu at 12.8 per cent and Kerala at 6.3 per cent.
• The study also found that women between the ages of 15 and 19 were married and had children.
• The number of child marriages has increased during the Govt epidemic, according to officials from the Integrated Child Development Service.
