- உலக பொருளாதார மன்றம் (world economic forum) வெளியிட்டுள்ள உலகளாவிய பயண வளர்ச்சிக் குறியீட்டில் இந்தியா தெற்கு ஆசியாவில் முதல் இடத்தையும், உலக அளவில் 54-வது இடத்தையும் பிடித்துள்ளது.
- கடந்த 2019ஆம் ஆண்டு இந்தியா உலகளாவிய பயண வளர்ச்சிக் குறியீட்டில் இந்தியா 46வது இடம் பிடித்து தெற்கு ஆசியாவில் முதல் இடத்தை பிடித்தது.
- இந்த முறை இந்தக் குறியீட்டில் இந்திய சற்று பின்னுக்குத் தள்ளப்பட்டுள்ளது. இருப்பினும் தெற்கு ஆசியாவில் இந்தியா தொடர்ந்து முதல் இடத்திலேயே நீடித்து வருகிறது.
- இந்த உலகளாவிய பயண வளர்ச்சிக் குறியீட்டில் ஜப்பான் முதல் இடம் பிடித்துள்ளது. அதனைத் தொடர்ந்து அமெரிக்கா, ஸ்பெயின், பிரான்ஸ், ஜெர்மனி, சுவிட்சர்லாந்து, ஆஸ்திரேலியா, யுனைடட் கிங்டம், சிங்கப்பூர் மற்றும் இத்தாலி ஆகிய நாடுகள் முதல் 10 இடங்களில் உள்ளன.

- கரோனா பேராபத்துக்குப் பிறகு முடங்கிப் போன சுற்றுலாத் துறை தற்போது சிறிது சிறிதாக முன்னேறி வருகிருறது. சுற்றுலாத் துறை மீண்டுவரும் நிலையில் இன்னும் முழுவதுமாக இயல்பு நிலைக்கு திரும்பவில்லை.
- 117 நாடுகளுக்கு இந்த பயண வளர்ச்சிக் குறியீடு கணக்கிடப்பட்டு வெளியிடப்பட்டு வருகிறது. கடந்த 2021 ஆம் ஆண்டுடன் ஒப்பிட்டுப் பார்க்கையில் 2022 ஆம் ஆண்டில் சுற்றுலாத் துறை மீண்டும் புத்துணர்ச்சி பெற்று வருகிறது.
- இந்த வளர்ச்சிக் குறியீட்டில் அமெரிக்காவைத் தவிர முதல் 10 இடங்களில் உள்ள அனைத்து நாடுகளும் ஐரோப்பியா மற்றும் ஆசியா பசிபிக்கை சேர்ந்தவை என்பது குறிப்பிடத்தக்கது.
- India ranks first in South Asia and 54th in the world in the Global Travel Growth Index released by the World Economic Forum.
- In 2019, India was ranked 46th in the Global Travel Growth Index and ranked 1st in South Asia.
- This time India is slightly behind in this index. However, India continues to be number one in South Asia.
- Japan ranks first in this global travel growth index. It is followed by the United States, Spain, France, Germany, Switzerland, Australia, the United Kingdom, Singapore and Italy.
- The World Economic Forum publishes and publishes this Global Travel Growth Index every 2 years.
