Andhra cabinet reshuffle
- After Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Jaganmohan Reddy took over as Chief Minister in 2019, there were 25 ministers in the then Jagan cabinet. However, it was announced that these ministers would hold office for just two and a half years, after which newcomers would be offered the remaining two and a half years.
- With almost 3 years now approaching, Chief Minister Jagan has decided to appoint a new cabinet. Accordingly, all the ministers resigned from their posts. Of these, Gautam Reddy recently died of a heart attack.
- Thus all the 24 ministers submitted their resignation letters to Chief Minister Jagan. Accordingly, it has been reported that at present 10 persons have been selected from the list of old ministers and 15 new ones.
- Among the old ministers were Adi Moolapu Suresh, Pettiretti Rama Chandra Reddy, Narayanasamy, b. Satyanarayana, Jayaram, Ambati Rambabu, Rajendranath Reddy, Viswaroop, Appala Raju, Venugopal Krishna and Amjad Pasha have been given another chance.
- Among the new ministers is Nagari constituency MLA and actress R.K. Rose has been given the opportunity. This is his first time in the Andhra Pradesh cabinet.
- India won 2 gold medals for the first time at the World Doubles Squash Championships in Glasgow, Scotland. Cricket star Dinesh Karthik's wife Deepika Padukone won two women's doubles titles with Joshna Chinnappa and Saurav Koshal in the mixed doubles.
- Deepika, who has been away from the game of squash for about 4 years and has been a mother of twins for the past 6 months, has returned to the field and kissed the gold medals.
