Indian Navy successfully tests BrahMos missile with precision strike
- The Indian Navy today successfully test-fired an extended ground attack target of a BrahMos supersonic missile. The test was carried out from the destroyer INS Chennai. In this test the missile hit the target very accurately.
- The BrahMos missile and its launcher INS Chennai are locally made with state-of-the-art power.
- It is part of the Indian Navy's contribution to India's initiative to make India self - sufficient.
- The budget of the Government of Tamil Nadu for the financial year 2022-23 will be tabled soon. The first day the general budget and the next day the separate budget for the agriculture sector will be tabled.
- Like last year, this year the paperless budget is being filed electronically. According to the DMK election manifesto, major projects that have not yet been implemented are expected to be included in the budget.
- The Cabinet meeting to approve the budget containing those plans was held at the General Secretariat under the chairmanship of Chief Minister MK Stalin. - The Chinese military has been allocated Rs 15.27 lakh crore in the 2021 budget. This is 6.8 percent more than the previous year.
- In this context, in the Chinese budget for the financial year 2022, 17.57 lakh crore rupees has been allocated for the military.
- This is 7.1 percent more than last year. It is noteworthy that the money allocated for the military in the Chinese budget is three times more than the money allocated for the military in India.
- Preliminary excavations by the Tamil Nadu Archaeological Survey began in March last year in the Maligaimedu area of the palace of the Chola emperor Rajendra Chola I and the Chola kings who ruled after him, in the village of Udkottai near Cholapuram on the Ganges in Ariyalur district.
- During the excavations, roof tiles, pottery tiles, red and black tiles, iron nails, Chinese artisan beads, pottery edges, small rare items, and remains of buildings were found.
- Also found was the perimeter of one part of the palace built by Rajendra Chola I and later the 2nd part of the continuation of the palace. No wall like drainage system was found.
- Following this, work is currently underway on a 10 by 10 square foot area. It includes the perimeter walls of the palace, iron nails, and earthenware edging.
