Rs. 8,774 crore allocation for irrigation in karnataka

  • 8,774 crore for irrigation projects in 2021-22 to increase irrigation areas in the state. Hurry up and finish the projects. Plans will be drawn up according to water availability. The plan is to supply drinking water to the northern districts using water from the Kali River
  • The first phase of the 'Bakshima Vagini' project will begin at a cost of Rs. 500 Crore
  • In the coastal areas of the state, a Rs 1,500 crore project has been sanctioned to prevent salt water intrusion by tidal waves in the event of flooding in rivers.
  • Work is currently underway in Uttarakhand. The project will be implemented in Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts as well

Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed an online seminar on 'Energy for Sustainable Development'

  • He said the target was to achieve 50 per cent energy efficiency with fossil fuels by 2030 and reach 500 gigawatts of fossil energy.
TRDO develops monolithic microwave integrated circuits (MMICs) used in Earth observation satellite (EOS 04)
  • The Monolithic Microwave Integrated Circuits (MMICs) are developed by the Center for Military Research and Development (DRDO). It is noteworthy that this was the radar used by ISRO on February 14 in the radar in the space observation satellite EOS 04.
  • Many monolithic microwave integrated circuits (MMICs) are designed and manufactured at DRDO's Solid Physics Laboratory and the Galilean Arsenate Technology Center (CEDEC).
  • It is using these MMIC circuits that the DR-modules used in satellite shooting radar are created.
  • More than 30,000 DR-modules have been developed at the Codec Center for various space projects.
  • This is an example of the joint venture between the two leading technology departments of the Central Government and various industry bodies.

Appointment of Chief Justice of Rajasthan High Court
  • Mr. Manindra Mohan Srivastava has been appointed as the Chief Justice of the Rajasthan High Court. 
  • The appointment was made by the President on 04.03.2022 in accordance with the powers conferred by Section 223 of the Constitution of India. This notification will come into effect from 07.03.2022.
