It was funded by the Scientific and Industrial Research Council (CSIR) and the Central Road Research Institute (CRRI) with the assistance of the Ministry of Steel and the Policy Commission and the Finance Commission.
  • This pioneer road project is set to be 1 km long, 6 lane highway. This road is made of 100% steel instead of other materials used as usual. The thickness of the road has also been reduced by 30 per cent. Thus, it is hoped that this new system will protect roads from seasonal damage.
