Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Tami and Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant have been elected
- A meeting of MLAs to elect Goa Chief Minister was held at Panaji. Among those present were BJP central observers Narendra Singh Tomar and L Murugan, Goa Election Commissioner Devendra Patnaik and state president Sadanand Sheth Dhanwade.
- At the meeting, Pramod Sawant was unanimously elected Goa Chief Minister for the second time. Pushkar Singh Tami of the BJP, who was the Chief Minister of Uttarakhand, lost the recent elections.
- At a meeting of MLAs in Dehradun, Rajnath Singh, the party's central observer and defense minister, proposed the name of Pushkar Singh Tami as the new chief minister.
- This was unanimously supported by the BJP-MLAs. Following this, Pushkar Singh Tami was re-elected as the new Chief Minister.
- The summit between India and Australia took place yesterday. Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison and Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke via video conference.

- Prime Minister Mr Modi has expressed condolences to the victims of the floods in New South Wales and Queensland. The two leaders expressed satisfaction over the implementation of the contractual activities carried out at the first video conference held in June 2020.
- The Prime Minister expressed satisfaction over the cooperation between the two countries in areas including trade and investment, military and defense, education and innovation, science and technology, mineral resources, water management, new and renewable energy technology, and research related to Govt 19.
- Prime Minister Mr Modi thanked Mr Scott Morrison for returning 29 antique artefacts from Australia to India. It includes 9th and 10th century sculptures and paintings from various parts of India.
- Also included are 12th century Chola bronze, 11th and 12th century Jain sculptures from Rajasthan, 12th and 13th century sandstone Mahisasuramartini Sami statues, and 18th and 19th century paintings.
- The joint statement was issued in connection with a comprehensive specialization in various fields. Accordingly, it was agreed to hold annual conferences between the Prime Ministers of the two countries. Thereby creating a more special dimension in bilateral relations.
- In the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly, the Karnataka government passed a resolution opposing the construction of a dam at Megathattu across the Cauvery. The resolution was proposed by Water Resources Minister Duraimurugan.
- Minister Duraimurugan asked all members to support this resolution wholeheartedly. Subsequently, the resolution proposed by the Minister was passed unanimously by voice vote.
- The post of Dubash in the Tamilnadu Assembly has been a function of the British rule to this day.

MK Stalin laid the foundation stone for the Multipurpose High Specialty Hospital at the Kindi King Institute campus in Chennai
- Announcing on June 3, 2021, on the occasion of the 97th birthday of the late Chief Minister Karunanidhi, Chief Minister Stalin announced the setting up of a multi-purpose 500-bed multi-specialty hospital at a cost of Rs.230 Crores Announced.
- Following this, 4.89 acres of land on the King Institute campus was selected on behalf of the Department of Health for the construction of the Multipurpose High-Speed Hospital. In this context, Chief Minister MK Stalin laid the foundation stone for the Multipurpose High Specialty Hospital.
- Rs 230 crore has been allocated to build a multipurpose hospital. The hospital will be built on an area of 51,429 square meters with a ground floor and 6 upper floors and will have 1,000 beds.
- The UN High Level Panel has developed a report called the 'General Action Plan' on decisions to be taken on international issues, especially for the benefit of women, youth and future generations.
- UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has set up a 12-member high-level delegation, led by former Swedish Prime Minister Stephen Lப்fven, to work on the basis.
- Jayati Ghosh, an Indian economist, has been appointed to the panel. He was the Head of the Department of Economic Education and Planning at Jawaharlal Nehru University. He is currently a professor at Amherst University in Massachusetts.
- While conducting a field study of the Nayakar period inns near Maruthangudi, they came across information that there was an inscription of the Nayakar period in the area and examined the inscription on the banks of the Somikulam Kanmai in the village. In that study the carving was 4 feet high, one foot wide and had 24 lines on both sides.
- The inscription mentions the name of the town and the name of Somikulam Kanmai and states that two types of taxes were levied on the same land in the area as Nansei tax and Punchai tax during the dry season when the arable lands are highly cultivated and during the dry season. Investigators say the Kasataya family was ordered to pay the tax, and that the inscription was dated to the 17th century, the Nayakar period.
