Chief Minister's Award to the Collector of Sivagangai for his outstanding work for the disabled

• District Collector P. Madhusudhanreddy has taken steps to allot a house worth Rs. 10 lakhs each to 150 persons with disabilities at a cost of Rs. 1.5 Lakhs
• Similarly, for the first time in the state, 5 acres of land has been allotted in Keezhayoor area near Ilayankudi to provide free housing lease at the rate of 2 cents each to 130 homeless persons with disabilities.
• Facilities like school and ration shop are also to be provided in the area. The district issued a large number of National Disability Identity Cards. The District Collector excelled in conducting large-scale camps for the disabled and providing welfare assistance to a large number of people.

Reduction of PF interest rate to 8.1 per cent

India signs agreement with Sri Lanka on solar power project

Women's World Cup - Mithali, Julan Goswami set new world records

NLC, four national awards for mines
