CLIMATE CHANGE REPORT BY UN SCIENTIST

TAMIL
ENGLISH
  • UN panel of scientists files climate change report The weather will get worse in the coming years. Global warming is caused by carbon dioxide emissions. In this case, the goal was to reduce the temperature by 2 C above normal.
  • It is currently adjusted to 1.5 degrees. If this goal is not achieved, there is a risk that people will suffer from disease, hunger, starvation and poverty in the next 18 years. If the temperature rises by 2 degrees above normal, heat, fire, flood, drought, etc., 127 types of damage will occur. Some of them may become unrepairable.
  • Babies born now will be four times more likely to be affected by floods, storms, droughts and heat waves if they live to 2100. Already, the daily lives of at least 330 crore people are at risk of being affected by climate change. Extreme heat also increases the risk of death by more than 15 times.
  • So if the nations of the world do not make a firm decision together to reduce carbon dioxide emissions, we will lose the opportunity for a safer life in the future.
