Kiramiya Isai Kalanidhi Pattam
- Folk music singer Velmurugan performed a concert at the Viruthakriswarar Temple Kudamulu in Virudhachalam, Cuddalore district. Following this, he was conferred the title of 'Kiramiya Isai Kalanidhi Pattam' by Dharmapura Adinam.
- Velmurugan has also been announced as the lead singer of Dharmapuram Aadeenam. Earlier, singer Yesudas was in charge of this. Velmurugan was conferred the gold medal in the presence of Labor Welfare Minister Ganesan and the Commissioner of Hindu Religious Affairs.
- The Western Regional Navy Awards Ceremony 2022 was held on 8th February 2022 in Mumbai. Vice Admiral Ajanta Bahadur Singh, Flag Officer, Western Region Navy, attended the function and presented awards to the veterans who were honored on Independence Day 2020 and Republic Day 2021 for their heroic service and outstanding service.
- Of these, two were awarded the Navsena Medal and one the (Heroic Courage) Medal (Duty, Dedication) Medal. 7 were awarded the Vishist Seva Medals. It is noteworthy that this award, which is given in bulk, is currently given separately to the respective regiments due to the incidence of covid infection.
- Swamitwa, a central project for exploration and mapping of rural areas using advanced technology, was launched in the financial year 2020-21. It aims to provide title to property by issuing property cards / documents to homeowners in rural areas.
- The project is being jointly implemented by the Ministry of Panchayat Raj, the Indian Research Institute, the State Revenue Department, the State Panchayat Raj Department and the National Information Center. So far 29 states have signed Memoranda of Understanding with the Survey of India.
- Drones have been operated in 103,644 villages across the country and 36,56,173 property cards have been issued in 28,072 villages. Drones have been operated under this scheme in 2 villages in Tamil Nadu and 19 villages in Pondicherry.
- India's largest iron ore producer, the National Mineral Development Corporation, has reported sales of Rs 19,179 crore, up 125% in the first nine months of fiscal 2022 from Rs 8,522 crore in the previous fiscal. 10,101 crore in the first nine months of this year, a growth of 118% over the pre-tax revenue of Rs. 4,633 crore during the same period last year.
- Post-tax revenue grew by 122% to Rs 7,583 crore in FY22, compared to Rs 3,415 crore in the first nine months of last fiscal. During the third quarter of FY22, the National Mineral Development Corporation produced 10.65 million tonnes of iron ore and sold 9.85 million tonnes.
