73rd Republic Day of India 2022

  • The Republic Day celebrations in the capital Delhi were tumultuous. President Ramnath Govind hoisted the national flag and accepted the parade honor. They were a testament to India's armed strength. The Rajput forces marched on the Rajpath.
  • Soldiers of the Madras Regiment and the Assam Regiment took part in the procession. Jammu and Kashmir and Sikh forces also took part in the march. 13 districts including NDR, Sri Balaji newly emerged - Andhra Pradesh Government
  • The state cabinet has approved to increase the number of districts in Andhra Pradesh from 13 to 26. Accordingly, Sri Balaji district emerges with Tirupati as the district capital. The Andhra Pradesh government, led by Jagan Mohan Reddy, has decided to increase the number of districts currently in Andhra Pradesh from 13 to 26.

  • In addition, the Air Force sent Sukhoi, Jaguar, a refueling aircraft in mid-flight, and aircraft with Awax radar. Naval surveillance aircraft P8I, Tornier, IL38, MiG19K aircraft also participated in the exercise. 
  • Indian Army Regiments and Coast Guard ships also participated in the joint exercise. The exercise provided an opportunity for all forces to work together to meet current maritime challenges.
Memorandum of Understanding between India and France for Scientific & Technological Cooperation
  • The Central Scientific and Industrial Research Council and the French Institute of Pasteur have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enhance opportunities for collaboration in health research, a key milestone in scientific & technological cooperation between India and France.
  • The Scientific and Industrial Research Group and the Pasteur Institute are to conduct joint research. The agreement will pave the way for providing new and re-emerging infectious and hereditary disorders and strong and cost-effective health care solutions not only to the people of India and France, but to people around the world.
  • In addition, the agreement seeks to enhance potential scientific and technological collaborations and to collaborate with organizations / laboratories under the Scientific and Industrial Research Group and the international structures of the Pasteur Institute on modern and emerging issues in human health.
  • The MoU was signed by Dr. Seker C. Monde, Director General of the Scientific and Industrial Research Council and Secretary of the Federal Department of Scientific and Industrial Research, and Professor Stewart Cole, President of the Pasteur Institute in France.
