- தேசிய பெண் குழந்தைகள் தினம், ஒவ்வொரு ஆண்டும் ஜனவரி 24-ம் தேதி கொண்டாடப்படுகிறது. பெண் குழந்தைகளின் உரிமைகள் குறித்து விழிப்புணர்வை ஏற்படுத்தவும், அவர்களின் கல்வி, சுகாதாரம், ஊட்டச்சத்து ஆகியவற்றை ஊக்குவிக்கவும் இந்த தினம் கொண்டாடப்படுகிறது. எனினும், பெண் குழந்தைகளின் தற்போதைய நிலை என்ன என்பது கேள்விக்குறியாக உள்ளது.
- 2019-21 புள்ளி விவரப்படி, 6 வயதுக்கு மேல் உள்ள பெண் குழந்தைகளில் 71.8 சதவீதம் பேர் பள்ளிக்குச் செல்லத் தொடங்குகின்றனர். எனினும், 10 ஆண்டுகளுக்கு மேல் பள்ளிக் கல்வி பெறும் பெண்களின் அளவு 41 சதவிகிதம்தான். அதுவே, ஆண்களின் சதவிகிதம் 50.2 சதவிகிதமாக உள்ளது.

- 20 முதல் 24 வயதிற்குள்ளான பெண்களில் 23.3 சதவிகிதத்தினர் 18 வயதிற்கு முன்பாகவே திருமணமானவர்கள் என்கிறது தேசிய குடும்ப நல ஆய்வறிக்கை. ஆண்களில் திருமண வயதான 21-க்கு முன்பாக திருமணமானவர்களும் இருக்கின்றனர்.
- 25-லிருந்து 29 வயதிற்குள்ளான ஆண்களில் 17.7 சதவிகிதத்தினர் திருமண வயதிற்கு முன்பாகவே திருமணம் செய்துகொண்டிருக்கின்றனர்.
- இந்தியாவில் குழந்தை திருமணத்திற்குள் தள்ளப்பட்ட குழந்தைகளின் எண்ணிக்கை 22 கோடி. 18 வயதுக்குக் கீழ் திருமணம் செய்தால் சட்ட விரோதம் எனக் கூறும் இந்தியாவில் ஒவ்வொரு ஆண்டும் 15 லட்சம் குழந்தைகளுக்கு திருமணம் நிகழ்வதாக UNICEF புள்ளி விவரம் கூறுகிறது.
- 15 முதல் 19 வயதுடையவர்களில் 59 சதவிகித பெண்கள் ரத்த சோகையுடன் இருக்கும் நிலையில், 31 சதவிகித ஆண்களும் ரத்த சோகையுடன் இருக்கிறார்கள்.
