Government issues Rs 2,674.64 crore waiver guidelines for women's group loans in co-operative banks across Tamil Nadu

• The Government of Tamil Nadu has issued guidelines for writing off loans of Rs. 2,674.64 crore disbursed to women's self-help groups by co-operatives. The Government of Tamil Nadu, after considering this, has given permission to waive Rs. 2674
• Rs 600 crore will be released for this in this financial year. The remaining amount is allowed to be released in 4 years with 7 per cent interest.

Government of Tamil Nadu has issued a Welfare Board for Journalists

• According to a press release, the government has set up a Press Welfare Board. In addition, the order states that the journalist's family will be provided with a scholarship, including a formal technical study, a marriage grant, a maternity grant, and that separate orders will be issued regarding the eligibility and definition of journalists' new welfare assistance programs.

Prime Minister launches Infiniti, a leading think tank on financial technology (FinTech)

• Prime Minister Narendra Modi launches Infiniti, a thought-provoking leadership organization on financial technology (FinTech), on video. The event was hosted by the International Financial Services Centers Commission on December 3 and 4, 2021, with the assistance of the federal government in conjunction with Gift City and Bloomberg. Indonesia, South Africa and the United Kingdom were the participating countries at the first meeting of the organization.

Prime Minister's Fisheries Plan

• The Prime Minister's Fisheries Plan is being implemented by the Union Ministry of Fisheries with an investment of Rs. 20,050 crore for 5 years from 2020-21. The objectives of the project are to increase fish production through expansion projects, strengthen the supply chain through modernization, double fishermen's income and increase exports.
• The Central Fisheries Department is taking several measures to protect the aquatic ecosystem. Fishing is banned for 61 days a year in the Indian Special Economic Zone. Dangerous fishing practices are prohibited.
• Under the Prime Minister's Fisheries Plan, the Government of Odisha has approved Rs. 440.56 crore for fisheries development projects in the financial year 2021-22.

Incentive scheme to identify leading companies as auto parts

• The Central Government has launched a program to increase productivity in India and provide manufacturing-linked incentives to the automotive and automotive industry in India.
• For this project, Rs 25,938 crore has been set aside in the financial statements for the next five years. The scheme consists of two sections namely Champion OEM Incentive Scheme & Spare Champion Incentive Scheme. Part of the Champion Incentive Scheme is the ‘Sales Value Combined’ scheme.
