Anju Bobby George wins Best Female Award on behalf of the World Athletics Association

  • The World Athletics Federation's annual awards ceremony was held in Monaco. It was announced that the award for the best woman of the year will be given to the famous Indian former athlete Anju Bobby George.
  • He received the award for developing the talents of young athletes and for promoting gender equality. Anju won a bronze medal in the long jump at the 2003 World Championships. He thus became the only Indian to win a medal at the World Championships.
Net Value Added (GVA) Report
  • Gujarat recorded a GDP growth of 15.9 per cent in GDP (GVA) between 2012 and 2020. The original value was Rs. 5.11 lakh crore, according to a statement issued by the Reserve Bank of India.

Global co-operatives topped Ipco in India

Plan for the Conservation of Endangered Indian Languages ​​to promote all Indian languages, including endangered languages
  • It is the policy of the Government to promote all Indian languages, including endangered languages. The Government of India has launched a program for the conservation of endangered Indian languages.
  • Under this scheme, the Central Institute for Indian Languages ​​in Mysore is involved in the conservation and documentation of all mother tongues / languages ​​of India spoken by less than 10,000 people.
  • In the first phase of the project, 117 endangered languages ​​/ mother tongues from across India have been selected for priority research and documentation. The University Grants Commission has launched two programs to protect endangered languages.
  • The University Grants Commission and the Central Institute for Indian Languages ​​have released Rs 45.89 crore for this purpose from 2015-16 to 2019-20.
