Discovery of 6 Samanar beds in Ayyampalayam

• According to the Sambuvarayar Research Center, six Samanar beds have been found in Ayyampalayam village near Kannamangalam in Thiruvannamalai district.
• It is noteworthy that there are a total of 12 Samanar beds in addition to the Samanar beds currently found in the Thimalai district. The highest number of Samanar symbols is found in the Thimalai district of Tamil Nadu. The Jain monks were revered by the kings at that time.

Government of Maharashtra reducing the power to appoint the Deputy Governor of the State

• Usually, universities in all states are governed by the governor of the respective state. The Governor has the power to appoint the Vice-Chancellor on the recommendation of the Search Committee.
• In this context, the Government of Maharashtra has passed a bill to reduce the power of the Governor. Accordingly, the search team should send the names of 5 persons to the State Government for the post of Deputy Vander.
• The government will select two from it and send them to the governor. The bill was passed requiring the governor to appoint one of them as deputy governor within the next 30 days.
• Apart from this, it has been informed that the post of Associate Vander will be created and the responsibility will be given to the Minister of Higher Education and he will carry out similar duties to Vander.

List of best police stations in Tamil Nadu for the year 2020

• In Tamil Nadu, the list of the best police stations for the year 2020 has been announced. Tirupur South Police Station has been selected first, Thiruvannamalai Taluka Station second and Madurai City Anna Nagar (E-3) Station third.

Vidya Kulkarni appointed CBI Joint Director

• Vidya Kulkarni is the IG of the Anti-Corruption and Surveillance Department in the Tamil Nadu Police. Under these circumstances, he went to work for the Central Government last November.
• Meanwhile, the Central Personnel Selection Board has appointed him as the Joint Director of the Chennai Regional CBI.

Bajaj Auto to set up electric vehicle manufacturing plant in Pune

• Bajaj was the first Indian motorcycle manufacturer to enter the electric vehicle industry. Chetak introduced the electric vehicle last year. Bajaj has decided to produce 5 lakh electric vehicles a year at the plant. About 300 crore rupees has to be invested for that.
• An additional investment of Rs 250 crore is also planned. Vehicles manufactured at the plant are expected to hit the market from June 2022.

Top of the list of major states - 100% first dose in Telangana

• In the state of Telangana, the first dose of 100 per cent vaccination was given to all those who have attained the age of 18 years. For the first time, Telangana has topped the list of major states.

World Rapid Chess - 6th place for Koneru Hump

• Russia's Ian Nepomnacchi won silver and Norway's world champion Magnus Carlsen won bronze.

The Indian Army has set up a quantum laboratory at Mow in Madhya Pradesh

• The Indian Army, with the assistance of the National Security Council Secretariat, has recently set up a Quantum Laboratory at the Army College of Telecommunication Engineering in Mow, Madhya Pradesh.
• The Indian Army has also set up an artificial intelligence center at the same company. Research conducted by the Indian Army on quantum technology will enable the next generation of communications at breakneck speed.
