'PROJECT TIGER'
- The federal government is implementing a program called PROJECT TIGER to protect tigers and tiger habitats across the country.
- Under this, work has begun to protect the LTTE with the financial assistance of the Central and State Governments. Under this, it has been announced that the largest LTTE archive in Tamil Nadu, the Kalakkadu-Mundanthurai LTTE archive will be protected under a Rs. 6 crore project. 2.83 crore in the first installment and Rs. 1.06 crore in the second installment.
- In this situation, the government has released the third and final installment of Rs 1.89 crore. Accordingly, the project is being implemented to prevent tiger poaching, protect wild resources and prevent wildfires.
- Considering the security of the most important leaders of the country, they are being given Z-plus protection on behalf of the Central Reserve Police Force. It has been reported that the Central Government has decided to include women in the security forces as only male commandos have been involved so far.
- Accordingly, the female commandos will be involved in security work for Z-plus Union Minister Amit Shah, former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, Congress leaders Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi. In the first phase, 32 female commandos have been trained for 10 weeks and are expected to join the force from January next year.
- The government announced at the last assembly session that a people's movement would be formed to get rid of disposable plastics.
- Accordingly, the government issued a statement in this regard last month. In this context, Chief Minister MK Stalin launched the "Yellow again" movement at the Chennai Art Gallery to create awareness about the use of yellow.
- Chief Minister MK Stalin said that the yellow bags were environmentally friendly and that the beautiful plastic bags were harmful to the environment.
- He referred to the "yellow bag" as the symbol of the environmentalist. He listed the dangers of using plastic products and warned that the potential damage to the environment would plunge mankind into irreversible misery.
- It is noteworthy that the ban imposed by the state government on disposable plastic items came into effect in Tamil Nadu from January 1, 2019.
- Chief Minister Stalin today (Dec. 23) unveiled the Chief Minister's Dashboard on the Government of Tamil Nadu's major projects, announcements and progress of work at the General Secretariat.
- On this Chief Minister's Information Board, the capacity of all the major water reservoirs in the state and the status of water availability to date; Rainfall pattern; Price Mesh, a platform for monitoring and resolving the price situation of more than 25 food grains / vegetables / fruits and the potential for sudden rise in prices.
- Determining the current economic situation with employment field conditions; Consumer goods information; Full information on the current status and solutions of petitions received through the 'Chief Assistance Center' and the 'Chief Minister in your constituency';
- Detailed information on the various health programs overseen by Chief Stalin; Daily reports from the police on crimes in the state, the districts that need the most attention; Status of housing schemes for urban and rural poor; Features information on drinking water supply schemes - especially plumbing connections to all households.
- These are all included in the first set of the information board. Additional information on a weekly basis will be added to this board so that Chief Stalin will have complete information on the activities of all departments and will coordinate and monitor them. As part of the event a video was released explaining the purpose of the information boards.
- Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone for the 'Banas Dairy Complex' at the Uttar Pradesh Government Industrial Development Authority Park in Karkiyan, Varanasi. The 30-acre dairy is to be built at a cost of Rs 475 crore. It has the capacity to process 5 lakh liters of poly per day.
- The Prime Minister also digitally transferred Rs 35 crore to the bank accounts of more than 1.7 lakh milk producers associated with the Banas Dairy. The Prime Minister also laid the foundation stone for a dung gas based power generation project for a factory of the Milk Producers Cooperative Union in Ram Nagar, Varanasi.
- The Prime Minister, who launched the website created by the Standards Committee of India with the assistance of the National Dairy Development Board, unveiled the logo assigned to the Dairy Valuation Assurance Scheme.
- In another attempt to alleviate the land tenure problems at the grassroots level, the Prime Minister distributed the Rural Residence Document Document online to more than 20 lakh residents of Uttar Pradesh under the Central Panchayat Raj Ministry's Title Scheme.
- The Prime Minister laid and laid the foundation stone for 22 development projects worth over Rs 870 crore in Varanasi. This will further strengthen the complete transformation that is taking place in Varanasi. In the road sector, the Prime Minister laid the foundation stone for plans to widen the Prayagraj and Badohi roads into 4-lane and 6-lane roads.
- The Prime Minister also inaugurated the first phase of tourism development project related to Sri Guru Ravidas G Temple and Govardhan in Varanasi to encourage tourism in this holy city.
- Other projects initiated by the Prime Minister include the Rapid Crop Growth Research Laboratory at the International Rice Research Institute, Zonal Standards Laboratory at Baypur Village and the Lawyer Building at Bindra Circle, of the South Asian Regional Center in Varanasi.
- The Indian Army today launched a new generation, modern, web-based processor called Asikma (Safe Military Communication Processor). It was developed entirely locally by a team of Army Corps of Signals officers.
- This processor is used at the internal levels of the military to replace the military wide area network information system that has been in service for the past 15 years. It is deployed on military-owned hardware and incorporates lifetime support for future upgrades.
- It meets all future information sharing needs and provides an enhanced user experience. This processor has various contemporary features including multi-level security, information priority and monitoring.
- This processor, ready for the future, will meet the immediate data transfer and communication needs of the military. In particular, it is in line with the Government of India's Make in India initiative in the context of the current geopolitical security environment.
- The domestically-produced ground-to-ground Pralay missile, developed by the Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO), was developed by Dr ABJ off the coast of Odisha.
- It was paid for the 2nd time today (23.12.2021) from Abdul Kalam Island and successfully tested. The first nuclear-capable missile was successfully tested over the next two days.
- REC, the federal government's rural electrification company, has entered into an agreement with KFW Development Bank to obtain a US $ 169.5 million loan. The loan is to be provided under Indo-German bilateral cooperation with the approval of the Department of Economic Affairs of the Federal Ministry of Finance.
- The loan is to be used for power generation projects in India based on innovative solar technology.
- Central Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari today (23.12.2021) inaugurated the Rs 9,119 crore 240 km National Highways project in Meerut and Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh.
- The Minister also inaugurated the Investigation Transport System on the Six-lane East Roundabout on Ghaziabad's Dasna area.
