• அமைப்புசாரா துறை தொழிலாளர்களுக்கு (unorganized sector workers) பல சமூக பாதுகாப்புத் திட்டங்களை சிறப்பாக செயல்படுத்த மத்திய அரசு e-SHRAM போர்ட்டலை கடந்த ஆகஸ்ட் 26, 2021 அன்று அறிமுகப்படுத்தியது.
• அமைப்புசாரா தொழிலாளர்களின் விரிவான டேட்டாபேஸை (comprehensive database) உருவாக்க இந்த e-SHRAM போர்டல் தொடங்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. மேலும் இது மத்திய மற்றும் மாநில அரசுகளால் செயல்படுத்தப்படும் சமூக பாதுகாப்பு திட்டங்களை வழங்கவும் உதவும்.
• இந்த போர்டல் அமைப்புசாரா துறையில் சுமார் 38 கோடி தொழிலாளர்களை பதிவு செய்ய முடியும். தொழிற்சங்கங்களுடன் ஒருங்கிணைத்து சமூக நல திட்டங்களை ஒருங்கிணைக்கவும் திட்டமிடப்பட்டு உள்ளது. 
• இதனிடையே அமைப்புசாரா துறையைச் சேர்ந்த சுமார் 13 கோடி தொழிலாளர்கள் e-SHRAM குடும்பத்தில் இணைந்துள்ளனர்.
• நாட்டில் உள்ள கோடிக்கணக்கான தொழிலாளர்களின் ஒட்டுமொத்த நலனுக்காக அமைப்புசாரா தொழிலாளர்களுக்கான இந்த தேசிய தரவுத்தளத்தை (national database) மத்திய அரசு உருவாக்கியுள்ளது. மேலும் அரசு சார்பில் e-SHRAM கார்டும் தொழிலாளர்களுக்கு வழங்கப்படுகிறது.
• ESIC அல்லது EPFO-ல் உறுப்பினராக இல்லாதவர்கள், சுயதொழில் செய்பவர்கள் (self-employed) அல்லது அமைப்புசாரா துறையில் (unorganized sector) பணிபுரியும் ஊதியம் வாங்குபவர்கள் அமைப்புசாரா தொழிலாளர்கள் ஆவர்.

• The Central Government launched the e-SHRAM Portal on August 26, 2021 to better implement various social security schemes for unorganized sector workers. This e-SHRAM portal has been launched to create a comprehensive database of unorganized workers. 
• It will also help provide social security schemes implemented by the central and state governments. This portal can register about 38 crore workers in the informal sector. It is also planned to coordinate social welfare programs with the unions.
• Meanwhile, about 13 crore workers in the informal sector have joined the e-SHRAM family. The Central government has created this national database of unorganized workers for the overall benefit of millions of workers in the country. 
• Workers are also issued an e-SHRAM card on behalf of the government. Non-members of the ESIC or EPFO ​​are self-employed or unorganized wage earners working in the unorganized sector.
