Annual Meeting on Military Relations between India and France
- The annual meeting on military relations between India and the European country France is taking place in Paris. As part of this, our National Security Adviser Ajit Doval met with Emanuel Ponni, Foreign Adviser to French President Emanuel Macron.
- France has stated that it is ready to extend all possible assistance to promote Prime Minister Narendra Modi's so-called 'Atmanirbar Bharat' policy of autonomous India and the production of India's military logistics industry. It is said to be fully involved in the research and technological development required for this.
- France has said it will extend full military cooperation with India, the region's most important ally, in fulfilling its commitment to maintaining peace in the Indo-Pacific region.
- The Fisheries Department of the Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairy, Government of India hosted a seminar on "Promoting Inland Saltwater Aquaculture" on November 5, 2021.
- This is the eighth in a series of seminars to be held as part of the Amirtha coronation of liberation, marking the 75th anniversary of Indian independence. Mr. Jatindranath Swain, Secretary, Central Fisheries Department presided over the seminar.
- It was attended by officials from the Central Fisheries Department, States and Union Territories, ICAR Fisheries Institutions, Livestock and Fisheries Universities, entrepreneurs, fish farmers, fish farm owners and other persons from the Fisheries Department.
- The list of films to be screened in the 52nd edition of the Indian International Film Festival to be held in Goa has been released. ‘Koozhakangal’, directed by BS Vinodraj, is among the 24 films selected. Also, ‘Sweet Biryani’ directed by Jayachandra Hashmi is one of the 20 films in the list of non-fiction films.
- The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India, in association with the State Government of Goa, is organizing the event from November 20 to 28, 2021, organized by the Directorate of Indian Film Festival.
- The first of the selected films will be screened in Assam and Nagaland in the language of Dimasa, a language spoken by a particular section. The first English language film to be screened in the non-fiction category is 'Ved-The Visionary'.
