Tambaram emerges as a separate corporation - Government of Tamil Nadu issues emergency law

• Pallavaram, Pammal, Chembakkam, Anakaputhur municipalities and Chittagong, Madambakkam, Perungalathur, Birkankarana and Thirunirmalai municipalities will be merged with Tambaram in the new corporation and an additional 15 village panchayats will be merged.
• Apart from this, all the areas around the Tambaram municipal boundary are growing equally to the Tambaram municipality. Therefore, the basic facilities such as drinking water, sewerage etc. will be expanded to the areas around Tambaram Municipality and the surrounding areas will be upgraded with the Metropolitan Corporation of Chennai.
• In this situation, the government has published an announcement in the Gazette that Tambaram has been upgraded as the 20th corporation in Tamil Nadu. Following this, the Tambaram Corporation was formed by merging 10 urban local bodies, 5 municipalities including Tambaram and five municipalities. The Government of Tamil Nadu has issued an emergency law for this.

Establishment of the Tamil Nadu Climate Change Agency and Government Release

• The government today announced the formation of the Tamil Nadu Climate Change Agency. Under the Government of Tamil Nadu, the Secretary to the Tamil Nadu Environment Department will be the Chairman and Managing Director of the Tamil Nadu Climate Change Agency
• In addition, the municipal administration has announced that 7 members of the executive committee, including the public works engineer. According to the government of Tamil Nadu, Environment Secretary Supriya Saku IAS will be the head of the company. Previously, he was the Chairman of the Tamil Nadu Pollution Control Board.

Guinness World Record for lighting 12 lakh lights on the banks of the Sarayu River

• The Uttar Pradesh government set a record by lighting 6 lakh lamps in Ayodhya last year. Arrangements have been made to install 12 lakh lights to break it this year. Accordingly, 3 lakh lights were installed in Ayodhya and 9 lakh lights were installed on the banks of Sarayu river.
• Darkness shone brightly across the Sarayu River. As well as the laser flashlight in Ayodhya, colorful fireworks were performed.
