Chennai High Court Chief Justice Sanjib Banerjee transferred to Meghalaya - Presidential order
- Sanjeev Banerjee, a senior judge of the Kolkata High Court, became the 50th Chief Justice of the Chennai High Court on January 4. In this context, the Collegium comprising the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court recommended to the Central Government to transfer him as the Chief Justice of the Meghalaya High Court.
- In this context, President Ram Nath Govind yesterday ordered the transfer of Chief Justice Sanjeev Banerjee to the Meghalaya High Court, accepting the recommendation of the Supreme Court collegium.
Manokar Parikar goes to the Defense Education and Research Institute
- The Institute of Defense Education and Research in Delhi is named after the late former Defense Minister Manohar Parrikar. The inscription was unveiled by Defense Minister Rajnath Singh on Monday.
