  • Sankalp School in Tiruvallur district has been working for the betterment of the lives of special children for about 20 years. About 200 children are studying in this school. A new Sankalp School has been set up at Kolappanchery near Poonamallee, Tiruvallur District to provide specialized training to children with learning disabilities and children with autism.
  • The school offers specialized treatments for children with disabilities, such as physiotherapy and speech therapy. In addition, the children are given vocational training in jewelry making, gift making, weaving, data entry, soap making, spice making and face making.
  • In this context, the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu MK Stalin inaugurated the SANKALP School for Special Children through a video presentation.
