Kalaignar "Let's Prevent the Project" - The Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu M.K. Stalin started

  • The Kalaignar Income Protection program will be used to create awareness among the people about the approach to prevent diseases before they come and to create the idea of ​​living healthily.
  • Through this scheme, all the people in all the villages, municipalities, municipalities and corporations in Tamil Nadu will benefit from getting medical treatment.
  • To make medical examinations and specialized medical care easily available to the general public, to provide diagnostic and health counseling, to diagnose diseases with sophisticated diagnostic equipment, to provide immediate treatment to the sick, and to promote health and personal health through health awareness education.
  • The program will run 1,250 special camps a year. These camps include multidisciplinary medical examinations, eye, dental, ear-nose-throat, stomach related diseases, diabetes, high blood pressure, tuberculosis, joint and bone diseases, heart disease, kidney disease, pediatrics, psychiatry, pregnancy. Treatments such as specialist medicine and oncology for mothers and women will be offered.

  • The Union Cabinet has renamed the Central Food Program as the Prime Minister's Nutrition Program (PM POSHAN - PM Poshan Shakti Nirman). Under the lunch program, all children in grades one through eight were given a balanced meal once. Through this, 11.80 crore students across the country are benefiting.
  • Currently, under the revised Prime Minister's Nutrition Program, it is planned to expand to 11.80 crore students in middle schools, government and government-aided pre-school classes and dairy centers. As a result, an additional 24 lakh students studying in pre-primary classes are expected to benefit under the scheme.
  • From 2021-22m to 2025-26m, the central government will spend Rs 54061.73 crore and the states and union territories will spend Rs 31,733.17 crore on the project.
  • The central government will bear the additional cost of Rs 45,000 crore for food grains. Therefore the budget value for this project is Rs. 1,30,794.90 crore as provided by the Union Cabinet.
  • Previously, the Integrated Child Development Service Program (ICDS) was implemented in the Union Territories, paving the way for the full development of children up to 6 years of age. Under this project, Anganwadi came to improve the nutrition, health, mind and social development of children aged 0 to 6 years.
