67th National Film Awards Ceremony

  • The 67th National Film Awards ceremony began in Delhi. The ceremony was attended by Vice President of the Republic Venkaiah Naidu, Union Minister of Information and Broadcasting Anurag Thakur, Union Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting L. Murugan and award recipients.
  • Producer Thanu and director Vetrimaran won the National Award for 'Asuran'. They were Presented with the award by Republican Vice President Venkaiah Naidu. This is the second time the winner has received a national award. It is noteworthy that the monster film is based on the novel Vekkai written by Boomani.
  • The National Award for Best Actor was given to actor Sagittarius. He was given this award for the monster film. This is the second time Dhanush has received the National Award. He had already won a national award for the film Pitch.
  • Following this, Vijay Sethupathi received the award for Best Supporting Actor. The award was given to him for the film 'Super Deluxe'.
  • And dear dear. D. Iman won the Best Composer award for the song (Faith), actor R. Parthiban won the Best Jury Award for the same shoe size 7 film and Nagavishal won the Best Child Star award for his performance in the Tamil film 'KD (A) Black Durai'.
  • Similarly, actor Manoj Bajpayee won Best Actress for his performance in the Hindi film 'Bonsley' and actress Kangana Ranaut won the National Award for her performance in the Hindi films 'Manikarnika The Queen of Jhansi' and 'Banga'. The National Award for Best Picture was given to the film 'Maraikkayar Arabikadalinte Simkam'.
Dada Saheb Phalke Award
  • The 'Dada Sakeb Phalke' award is considered to be the highest award in the history of Indian cinema. Named after Dada Saheb Phalke, the father of Indian cinema, the award is given annually to those who have achieved a lifetime in the film industry.
  • The award for the year 2019 was announced for actor Rajinikanth. After Shivaji Ganesan, Rajinikanth is the recipient of this award in the Tamil film industry.
26.47 crore buildings for social welfare and treasury departments were opened by Chief Minister MK Stalin
  • These centers are being built on the premises of Government Hospital and Medical College Hospital as women first need medical help when they are victims of violence.
  • 48 lakh each at Government Medical College and Hospital Campus in Karur, Krishnagiri, Thiruvarur, Nagapattinam Government General Hospital Campus and Rs. 86 lakhs and a total of Rs. 2 crores 78 lakhs worth of integrated service centers have been constructed.
  • In addition, as women relocate to cities for work, hostels for working women are being set up across the state to protect their welfare. Accordingly, a working women's hostel has been constructed at a cost of Rs. 1.47 crore at Nanjik Fort in Tanjore district.
  • On behalf of the Directorate of Social Security, an additional building at a cost of Rs. 4.53 crore has been constructed on the 17,567 sq. Ft.
  • Similarly, District Treasury office buildings at Tirunelveli, Kanchipuram, Dindigul, Mannachanallur, Poonamallee, Mayiladuthurai and Tindivanam have been constructed at a cost of Rs. 15.11 crore on behalf of the Treasury Accounts Department. 
  • Stalin videotaped the new buildings. Ministers P. Geethajeevan, Palanivel Thiagarajan, Chief Secretary V. Irayanpu and Finance Secretary S. Krishnan also participated in the event.
Ahmedabad, Lucknow - BCCI announces new IPL series
  • The BCCI, which has decided to add two more teams to the 2022 IPL season, announced the tender procedure at the end of last August. The application fee was fixed at Rs 10 lakh and the base price at Rs 2,000 crore. Tenders were submitted on behalf of a total of 22 companies.
  • Lucknow team was bought by RBSG for about Rs 7,000 crore and Ahmedabad team by CVC Capital for around Rs 5,200 crore.
Prime Minister Modi inaugurated 9 medical colleges in UP
  • Prime Minister Narendra Modi has inaugurated nine new medical colleges in Uttar Pradesh. Nine government medical colleges have been set up in Siddharthnagar, Ida, Hardoi, Pratapgarh, Fatehpur, Theoria, Gazipur, Mirzapur and Jaunpur districts at a cost of Rs 2,329 crore.
  • Prime Minister Narendra Modi has launched the 'Ayushman Bharat' project, the country's largest health infrastructure development project, in his home constituency of Varanasi. The Prime Minister also inaugurated various development projects worth Rs 5,200 crore in Varanasi.
