Digital Tamil Nadu Project

  • Aiming to provide transparent administration to the people, the 'Digital Tamil Nadu Project' will be implemented to inculcate e-governance at all levels.
  • The activities of government departments in direct contact with the people will be gradually electrified. A Rs 10 crore policy decision support system will be implemented to enable policy making and implementation decisions through Data Analytics and Machine Learning.
  • A virtual museum will be set up at the Tamil Internet Education Institute at a cost of Rs 7.5 crore. A Rs. Information technology parks will be set up in 2nd and 3rd tier cities.
13th Conference of the BRICS
  • The 13th BRICS Conference of Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa was held in Delhi. Prime Minister Modi, who presided over the conference, said the BRICS countries would accept the anti-terrorism plan.
  • BRICS leaders have called on Afghanistan to end the violence and resolve the situation peacefully. The BRICS countries have strongly condemned the bombings in Kabul and called for domestic talks to ensure stability, peace and law and order in Afghanistan.

C-130J Super Hercules landing test vehicle in Rajasthan
  • An emergency landing between Chatta-Khandav has been set up on the 925-A National Highway in the Barmer district of Rajasthan under the Bharatmala project. It is 3 km long and 33 m wide. Two Indians on the International Teacher Prize list
  • The Varkey Foundation in London, the capital of the European country of Britain, and UNESCO jointly present the International Teacher's Award each year. Following this year's announcement, 8,000 teachers from 121 countries have been nominated for the prize. From this the list of 50 best authors was published.
  • It features Satyam Mishra, a math teacher from Bagalpur, Bihar, and Magna Musunuri, an English and math teacher from Hyderabad, Telangana. Apart from these, four students from New Delhi, Gujarat, Jharkhand and Haryana have been shortlisted for the International Student Prize.
  • The 'Top 10' list of the best teachers and students will be released next month. The best teacher and student will be selected and presented with the prize at an event in Paris, France.
'Mahakavi Bharathi Award' for Dr. IRA Venkatachalapathy
  • Since 2014, 'Kovai Bharathi Pasarai' has been honoring those who have rendered service to Bharathi and Bharathi's annually with the 'Mahakavi Bharathi' award and a cash prize of Rs. 50,000 in recognition of their service.
