Makkalai Thedi Varum Marthuvam Scheme
- In Tamil Nadu, people suffering from diseases like diabetes and high blood pressure have to go to government hospitals for treatment and wait in long queues to get a pill every month.
- The elderly and the sick are thus subjected to great inconvenience. Thus, the Makkalai Thedi Varum Marthuvam Scheme has been introduced for the benefit of patients.
- Chief Minister MK Stalin launched the Makkalai Thedi Varum Marthuvam Scheme, which goes directly to homes and see medicine, in the Samanapalli area near Hosur in Krishnagiri district. Following this, the project was launched in Kanchi, Chennai and Tiruvallur districts.
