Launch of new website e-labor to help informal workers
- The Central Government has launched a new website called e-Shram to help informal workers in the country. Non-formal employees are required to register. They will be given a separate 12 digit number card
- The Ministry of Labor, the State Government and the trade unions will carry out the coordination work including registration on this website. A 12-digit card will be issued free of charge to registered workers.
- This is valid across the country. You have to register based on the reference number. As well as bank account number details. To coordinate this, the Ministry of Labor has introduced a toll free number 14434. All information including registration can be obtained by contacting this number.
- Accident insurance facility will be available for one year under the Prime Minister's Suraksha Bima Yojana (BMSPOY) scheme for all registered employees. Under this scheme, compensation of Rs. 2 lakhs will be paid in case of death while working and Rs. 1 lakh in case of permanent disability.
- Families of Sri Lankan Tamil refugees will be provided with a free gas stove and connection. Sri Lankan Tamils living in camps are being given cash donations, which will be highlighted.
- In the camps of Sri Lankan Tamils, 7,469 dilapidated houses will be rebuilt at a cost of 231 crore 54 lakh rupees. Of this, 108 crore 81 lakh rupees will be allocated in the current financial year for the construction of 3,510 new houses.
- Rs 30 crore will be allocated to upgrade other basic facilities in the camps such as electricity, toilets and drinking water. In addition, Rs. 5 crore will be allocated annually to the Sri Lanka Tamil Quality of Life Development Fund to facilitate such facilities. In addition to these basic facilities, the following steps will be taken to improve the education and well-being of their children.

- London is next with 1,138 cameras per square mile. Chennai is ranked 3rd in the list. There are 610 cameras per square mile in Chennai. In that category, New York is 14th with 194 cameras and Mumbai is 18th with 157 cameras.
