'Urja' service for cylinder booking - Introduced by Bharat Petroleum
- For the first time in the country's oil and gas sector, Bharat Petroleum has introduced 'Urja' communication service for services including booking of cooking gas cylinders and change of company distributing cylinders.
- Customers can change their mobile numbers to book cylinders through this facility. As well as changing cylinder supply companies, you can also avail services such as repair services by paramedics and requesting two-cylinder connections.
- Apart from this, the service also provides petrol, diesel prices, information on nearby petrol stations, home delivery of petrol and diesel in 13 languages including Tamil, English, Hindi, Kannada and Malayalam.
- A 900-year-old stone-squeezing oil check has been found in Venkalam village near Perambalur. Its height is 33 cm. Outer diameter 71cm. The inner diameter is 64 cm. The depth of the pit in the middle of the check is 30 cm and the diameter is 20 cm.
- It can be considered to belong to the 11th century with the form of writing found in Calcutta. In ancient times checks were used to smash food items and to extract oil from oil seeds to light lamps in temples, houses and streets.

Such stone checks have already been found in the villages of Chencheri and Chattramanai Vellore in Perambalur district. - 'The herb garden is located at an altitude of 11,000 feet and is proud to be the tallest herb garden in India. The park is divided into 4 sections with various rare herbs.
- In particular, 40 varieties of herbs found in the Himalayas and Alps are planted here. The spiritual and scientific Badri Tulsi and Bhojputra trees are also maintained here.
