267.35 crore as emergency fund for Kerala

  • Union Minister Mansuk Mandavia and officials went to study the spread of corona in Kerala. The Union Minister held consultations with the Governor of Kerala and Chief Minister Binarayi Vijayan on Health Minister Veena George.
  • Following this consultation, the Central Government has allocated Rs. 267.35 crore to Kerala. The federal government has said the money will be enough to take constructive action against Corona.
Malaysian PM Mukaitheen resigns

Ban on disposable plastic items
  • The Federal Government has issued a notification for amended Rules (Plastic Waste Management Amendment Rules, 2021) prohibiting the production, import, storage, distribution, sale and use of prohibiting single-use plastic items. The ban is set to take effect on July 1, 2022.
